I wonder if the push to get the island's 'big four' on a a quest to find Walt might be a diversionary tactic by the others so they can perform a raid. With the big 4 gone, with the guns, perhaps the other 'good' losties will be vulnerable to abduction.
Did this occur to anyone else?

Yeah, I've been thinking this for a while too. If The Others can lure them away, it would be the perfect opportunity to go back and get Baby Aaron again.

Yup, already thought of that.
1) Michael gets a message through a computer from Walt. Walt is a fast and accurate typer and seems to know when only Michael is at the computer (read: the Others are the ones sending the message).
2) Walt can give Michael accurate directions via land travel regarding where to find him, although Walt was transported via water. (Others telling Mike where to go).
3) Mike gets captured by the Others, after falling for the "Walt is sending message" trap.
4) The Others setup a fake village for Mike to report this back to the other Losties so they will underestimate the Others. Mike is given a deal and enough information that makes him formalate a plan to have the other Losties return with their guns.
Then, while Michael and the 4 Losties return to the "decrepit" village, they are either easier to capture (because they underestimated the Other's strength) or the Others can send a raiding party to the hatch/beach, whichever their motive is.

Oldest trick in the book, right? Divide and conquer.

Worse yet, Sayid and Jin were spotted on the boat in the promo. That would leave everyone more exposed, especially if Eko and Locke are off playing house in the hatch.

Yes!
I believe one of the edits last night was a jump from the Michael scene where he was getting the list from Ms. Klugh directly to a shot of Baby Aaron. I deleted the show from TIVO--can someone verify this? I just remember thinking--OMG they really want Aaron.
