Well as you may or may not know the Region 1 Boxset is being released on October 3rd, however it looks like the UK may get hold of it first...or at least the first part anyway.

Like last year, the second season is being released in two parts, the first of which is scheduled for release on July 17th. No details on when the second part will be out although it wont be out until the season has finished airing on Channel 4 so you could work it out roughly. No doubt there will be a complete set released on the same day as the second part but again no details as yet.

ETA - I know there is a thread about the Region 2 release over in the DVD section, but figured I;d start a thread here too as this is really the only board I visit.

yeah that would be kind of cool, although i personally like to wait for the whole thing to come out.... Is there any difference between region 1 and two boxsets?

I think the region determines what DVD players in which countries it can be played on. Not all DVD players accept all the different region DVDs.

I'll probs be buying the 2 boxets separately. I've got parts 1 and 2 of Season 1 so if I suddenly bought the complete Season 2 it wouldnt match!

region 1 is the USA
region 2 is the UK

you can only watch american dvds on an anerican or multi-region dvd player

EDIT:- yeah can preorder the first part of season 2

As others have said it depends on where you live as to which one will work on your DVD player, but other than that there is no difference. Both sets have all the episodes and all the extras.

I'll probably buy the complete set because buying it separately is even more expensive. But knowing me i'll probably can't wait and buy it separately.

lol i hink im just gonna wait and buy the complete boxset for two main reasons

1. i have the complete first series box set nd it would look out of place
2. if they are all together then there is less chance of me loosing them lol (not that i would intentionally but i share a room with my 6 year old sister who doesnt know how to put dvds back in their cases arrh! )

Extremely good excuse!
When season 2 started, I watched the first two episodes every time they were shown on C4 and E4.
My mum hates the show (blasphemy!) and when i was watching one episode, she asked "is that Jack?" when she pointed to Sawyer. (Bless). I turned round to her and I was like, "Aww mum, that's Josh Holloway. THAT's Foxy... But thanks for trying to understand LOST..."
Then she gave my evils and said "Don't you darestart, you're not going to pull me into watching that..."

With the Season 1 sets, it only worked out as being a couple of pound more expensive than the complete set.
