Not sure if it has been mentioned anywhere, but I was wondering what the title was referring to.

Any ideas?

I think it was the time Micheal was allowed to visit with Walt.

It was how long Miss (/Mrs?) Klugh was going to give Michael to talk to Walt. Kind of irrelevant title considering that they didn't get that long together.

I think it was perhaps symbollic of how much trouble Michael went through just to see his boy for three minutes, kind of emphasised what Sayid said later that a father would do absolutely anything for his son, even for as little as three minutes of time together...

3 minutes was also the point on the swan computer count-down when Eko sat down and entered the code (and flashed that lovely smile!) Did you notice how no-one else is bothering with that now, Locke has lost his faith in it, yet Eko feels its still important and now he is self-appointed button-pusher...

There's like 9 threads on this question, btw. But this is my first post in one...

Eko entered the code with 3:36 left on the clock...just for clarification.

But the eppy titles usually have a "double meaning"...I think the 3 Minutes has two as well. One, it was the time allowed to Michael to visit with Walt by Miss Klugh...even though it was cut short, due to Walt's secret shouting rants...

...and Two, I think it refers to the 3 Minutes of time that changed Michael's life forever...the 3 Minutes it took for him to murder two people. Possible?

But seriously...do a search for "3 Minutes Title" and you'll find a bunch of threads already covering this.

I think it refers to 3 minutes of actual new things in the show. What with all of the commercials and inane flash backs to previous episodes, we get about 3 minutes of a show.
