I'd just like to support ABC's suggested idea of doing LOST in three sections over the course of a 35(?) week season, ie. splitting the 22(?) episodes into Act I (7), Act II (7) and Act III (8) or some variation of that. Each act could be named as a chapter in a book would be, and the chapter could be promoted as unique unto itself.
It may prevent viewers from becoming frustrated with the 'off' weeks (I taped an episode one week only to find I had taped 'Law & Order', now who really wants that?)...
AND it presents the show in a more creative and cinematic way, which is fitting given both the intimate nature of the characterization and the epic elements of the story.
Sorry about the essay, but that's my argument!!
Looking forward to tonight -- can't wait to see why the plane crashed!
