It seems to be an elaborate ruse with no real purpose. Why include fake hatch doors? Where did they come from?

Maybe the others are a shipwrecked group of film set designers with nothing better to do with their time than make fake sets. ;)

I assume it was all for the benefit of Michael, who had no idea they were wearing fake clothing etc.

It certainly makes Walt's "they're not what they seem" statement even more compelling. So much of what we've seen seems like a carefully staged production...the fake beards, the fake names, the weird clothes. Its like they are setting up a scenero or mood for the benefit of an audiance of one, but for what purpose?

I want to know where these "experiments" are being done at.

Where are all the people being kept? The "Hostiles" (Much better than "Others") took about 14 of the Tailies remember... I think we still have 4 more main hatches to find... All of the hatches found in Season 2 (besides the Main one) seem to be of no importance. I can't wait till another "main" hatch is found.

I was thinking (I haven't "reviewed the film yet") that maybe that wasn't fake hatch doors, maybe that entrance had been filled in with concrete. Now, why?? I dunno....that was just my initial thought when I saw it, could be wrong.


I definitely think the "fake village" is a sign that the Others are hiding from more than just our beloved Losties. This is something big. I can't wait to find out more. I wonder if next season we will get flashbacks on the Others. Because we already know from interviews with Damon and Carlton that... Fenry will be a major character in Season 3.

I'd expect we'll be leanring about the Others in season 3, and I'd expect it to contradict some of what we thought we knew. :)

And yes, I agree that creating this camp was silly and pointless.
