Locke is the most intriguing character on TV since Major Briggs of Twin Peaks. But, there are a few things he should know. In no particular order…why on earth are you (were you) hunting boar with a knife in your hand? Have you ever seen any photo of any Australian Aborigine that didn’t include a spear/walking stick? And after the first kill, take a tuft of boar bristles, wrap it in a towel, and make it Vincent’s exclusive tug-o’-war toy. In five days, tops, you have a boar tracking machine. Don’t worry about Vincent; he is a pack animal and will not just charge up to the prey and get himself hurt. He will close in and feint/dodge until the alpha member (you) has a clean shot at the kill. With a spear. Since the dawn of civilization humans and dogs have formed a team that is greater then the sum of their parts. You know this.
The next time you want to war game, skip the army men. Go to the game store, find “Squad Leader” or any other Avalon-Hill tac/sim game, break out the hex map, percentile dice, chits, charts, and thread and have at it Old School style.
And about that snively little punk who thinks he's your boss. Three letters. ADA. That, or just stomp the creep if you ever get back.
