A few months ago a producer said somewhere that it would take a 300 page book to explain dharma fully, so if all the history and mythology behind the dharma initiative is not explored through the show do you think a book/manual would be released to explain the initiative properly or even an island history book?

I don't think there will be a book like you describe. However, you never know. Maybe publishers will unearth a new book by Gary Troup that's about the Dharma Initiative.
