With 3 movies, 1 broadway play and now the mini-series, I don't think he felt ever bored during the last year... and I'm sure Moke kept him good company, so he wasn't lonely either.
Majandra 08-06-2006, 02:12 PM There's an article (http://www.star-ecentral.com/news/story.asp?file=/2006/8/6/movies/14901568&sec=movies) about one of Ian's Asian co-stars in the series that also mentions Ian. Including a first glimpse of how Ian will look like as Marco Polo.
Very different from Boone but still hot stuff, if you ask me.. ;)
Majandra 10-20-2006, 05:24 PM There are a lot of promo pictures, plot synopsis and information about the mini series up on the RHI website (http://www.rhifilms.com/property.php?propertyId=MarcoPolo).
Prodution ended at the beginning of August and the show is now in post-production and afaik still looking for an US distributor... Let's hope they'll find one soon because this looks REALLY good, imho!

I heard Marco Polo will air this month in Spain on Antena 3 and probably next month in France on M6...
Anyone know more about it? Or can possibly post a little review if they were able to see it?

MARCO POLO
Assigned to accompany two priests on a mission to convert the court of Kublai Khan (Brian Dennehy, “Assault on Precinct 13”) to Christianity, Marco Polo (Ian Somerhalder, “Lost”) is abandoned in the mountains when the priests, doubting the very existence of China, turn back. Polo eventually pushes bravely forth alone toward the fabled country where he is accepted as an envoy into Khan’s court. Marooned on the far side of the world, Polo, accompanied by his servant, Pedro (B.D. Wong, “Law & Order: SVU”), advances as a Mongol grandee for 20 extraordinary years. What he eventually brings back with him to the West is a chronicle that changed history forever. “Marco Polo,” a Hallmark Original Movie Event, premieres Saturday, June 2 (9 p.m., ET/PT).

... looks good. :D
Majandra 04-08-2007, 05:28 PM YAY! I got to see Marco Polo on Friday and I really liked it. Well, it's maybe not a master piece of cinematography but it had pretty costumes, exotic landscapes and Ian and Brian did an awesome job portraying their characters.
I really enjoyed it and there was sooo much Ian in it.... :)
Majandra 05-29-2007, 08:48 PM Marco Polo has been aired so far in Germany, Spain and Hungary.
