Once my head stopped spinning, I realized a couple things.

One. I'm not registered under Rachel Blake at the hotel. In fact, I've been paying cash for everything. Meaning, I was followed. And, those maps Mittelwerk was carrying? They mean something.

Two. I'm pretty sure it was that same man-in-black Mittelwerk was talking to the day I bumped him...

Either way, that phone call he took - it was definitely from Mittelwerk. Wish I'd had the presence to take the cell phone. But whatever.

I'm lucky. Lucky I got to him before he finished whatever he was there to do. I've got all my gear. I'm still alive.

What do you guys think he was talking about: "What fire? Which Institute?" Give me your ideas in the comments box - let's figure it out.

Anyway, I'm outta here. I've got to switch hotels. Though, if I had a destination in mind, I'd be saying good-bye to Denmark altogether...

Sidenote: both images are under the directory "iron", just like last week's was under "wig". I just found this funny.

I'd say college accent from southern England, but since the actual placement is gonna be down to the skills of the actor, I say the answer is simply "he's English"

Mittlewerk and his Hanso Foundation cronies are officially off the grid, running to who knows where. I mean, I guess on the one hand I should be pretty happy. Maybe that little street bumping incident spooked the good doc. He's accelerating things, cause he knows that we're on to him, that we're gonna get him. On the other hand he's gone, and I don't have the funds or the time to buy a ticket to the wrong city.

Maybe the answer's in the facts. OK. Let's think. I'm in Copenhagen. I know that the number two officer at the Hanso Foundation, Thomas Werner Mittlewerk, is investigating the Hanso family shipping history, which just happens to involve the slave trade. I also know that another officer at the Hanso Foundation, Hugh McIntyre, is having an affair with someone from the Global Welfare Consortium. Now seeing as the GWC is supposed to keep the Hanso Foundations of the world on the up and up, this is sort of like the Environmental Protection Agency sleeping with Exxon. And finally, a man named Mr. Paik has built a ship for the Hanso Foundation, which could relate to Mittlewerk's investigation of an island by the equator?

I don't know, I just--maybe I spooked Mittlewerk a little bit too hard. I mean --Yeah, I've learned a lot, but I don't know where to jump next, I don't know even know where it all connects. I don't even know if it connects to Hanso himself. I guess maybe I should be grateful that I'm alive? But alive is not getting us answers, and we want answers don't we?

Dudes, come on, I'm Scotish and I know that that guy was a lame attempt at sounding English, he had an American Accent, he spoke proper English though, like you are taught as a foreign language in a europeon country, but I know that wasn't English, It would have made me brake things if it had been, some of those accents drive you crazy, not like Desmonds amazing Scotish one.......

Sorry if it sounds like I am attacking England but I'm sure that English people would again at how annoying some English Accents sound............

If anything could the dude be european that went to Oxford or Camebridge ????

I went back and listened to all the other videos. At the beginning of the one for Post 005, there is soft audio (not reversed this time) of a woman's voice saying "Rachel" in with a lot of beeps and computer noises.

Post003 led us to the weird upside-down animation at persephone.thehansofoundation.org - her lips begin with "Don't believe his lies."

There is also hidden/soft audio in the phone call in 001 that RVT from the whispers has been working on. It is a voice saying something to Rachel about "father" but I do not have the completed transcript of that.

Maybe we have a longer message to put together.

Well, as far as the video goes, YEAH, some action! The cutoff was strange. It was abrupt like she had been nabbed or something.

I was just thrilled I was able to see this video rather than just going by the transcript (not that I don't appreciate the transcript! It saved me during the last video). I was able to load this video and see it without dial-up buffering. Now, I feel like I'm part of the game again. :)

There is now a Copenhagen Post 07 that we find out that the fire was at the Vik Institute and the map was of Lake Superior. But she now says that there was another map that she didn't catch on her lapel camera - how convenient. I think that they didn't think that someone would have found the actual island from what she posted.

Do you think that only Alvar knows the real location of the island and Mittlewerk is trying to find it?

The folder "Illumination" links to the Jeep compass page and the word illumination is the clue to the light. ;)

Note also that the Jeep poster is now in the trash :laughing:

So, they moved that "Jeep poster" image over to the trash folder in the recent update? In other words, this is the clue to visit jeep.com?

The reason I ask, is that this corresponds to the "correct" way into the WTK vid. The WTK initials appeared, then they replayed the Jeep poster as a (double) clue. WTK works at Jeep. The Jeep associated password given in Act 1 was "the mouthpiece". When we go through the "Perspehone image" link at LYCGY.com and get the admin folder (of a Jeep related site), we have (un) WTK, and (pw) "the mouthpiece". Again, as Marl reminds us, it is easy to see the path to clue after the fact. :)

Also, things are really getting blurry here, and I hate crossing old clue methods in my head. Thanks to all who have been keeping the timelines and such.

Oh, I see, you misunderstood me :) I never said Jeep was not in game. In fact, the thread you linked to is a debate between you and I that a Jeep Compass would be the prize for "solving" this ARG.

I stand by what I said before. If you win a Jeep Compass, you better come to Texas and give me a ride. I think our "prize" is still knowledge.

Now, for what I consider in-game and not. Jeep.com was linked to by a known in-game site. Therefore, I believe it is in-game, just as I now believe that certain myspace users are in-game. I am always skeptical (with good reason) about new sites that pop up. If I (we) weren't a bit skeptical, we would be somewhere around Lake Superior looking for Jack, Kate, and Sawyer so we could save their butts. I am not at all surprised, and actually quite glad, that more sites have jumped in making this ARG a bit more complicated and "real" feeling.

There is my defense, but, you most certainly deserve kudos for making the call and keeping your eyes open. You must of been one of the first to find this clue since you were vigilant in your claim that jeep.com was a clue site. That's awesome, because (until Marl posted the after-clue solve), I had no idea how to find it.

So, I do very much rely on others here (and elsewhere) to find these clues, but if I see something that doesn't fit with my logic, I will always throw it out there to be supported or debunked. I have never intentionally and will never intentionally "knock" someone's ideas with malicious intent. This board is here for this reason, to hash out amongst like-minded individuals the meaning of the information we have been given.
