It picture looks like a walkway underneath an elevated highway to me. I have seen similiar stuff all over the place, hongkong, seattle, even here in philly there are areas that are similiar looking to that. Its a convienent place to put paths and parking.

Again, I could swear I've read this before. Just like the Iceland post, I think this was on her site when it first went up, but was taken down. This would explain why she made no mention of Bastille Day, if the post was actually written two months ago.

I don't think it's the Champs D'Elysee. The trees are wrong; those mostly look like palm trees to me, and the hedges don't seem to fit that theory either. Also, like maverick said, it seems to be a covered area. It may be taken from under a bridge, from the look of the curved arc at the top. I wonder about that weird white "blob" on there; it doesn't seem like a reflection.

In fact it says "duh" and leads to a game company with videos of two computer games. haven't found out if there is a hidden message.

btw: all commercials from youtube can be accessed by typing DVR in the sublymonal site. you gain access to a video control station with four videos (two sumo videos). You can slow down the videos or watch them frame by frame to decipher the hidden messages.

the headers of JPEG images created by Adobe's Photoshop image editor contain three tags - JFIF, Adobe and Ducky - indicating the file is in JPEG File Interchange Format and produced by an Adobe program called Ducky.

Nope. Like any jpeg, it's one layer with no stored history. If anything was intentionally erased, it's gone.

I am not sure if they still do it (I think so, but I don't actually drink milk!) or if it is just an American thing (probably is), but many manufacturers of milk cartons would put pictures of missing people, usually children, on the side of a milk carton, just so more people would see the pictures. Thus 'ending up on the side of a milk carton' usually means disappearing. This gag was used by the Lost creators in the "Everybody Hates Hugo" episode--in Hurley's dream sequence at the beginning, you can see Walt's picture on the side of the Dharma milk carton.

But yeah, milkcartonman could be referring to the missing Alvar Hanso, certainly.

If it is a phone , then it is not a call from outside, I think it's more a call from room service or something like that. May be someone inside the hostel had tried to warn Rachel of the danger ???

I'm a little confused (nothing new, you say?) by Rachel apologizing to Darla in the beginning of the video--as Darla is dead--and later speaking as though she is making the video for GG--"GG, Darla was 'a good person'..." (where have we hear that before?). Or is she saying, "GG/Darla was a good person"? :undecide:

The person at the door did sound a little like Mittelwerk, or at least a European man speaking english. All I heard was "open the door."

However, what if the guy at the door turns out to be a reformed Hugh McIntyre, come to save Rachel and escape with her and Darla? That would be a cool twist. We have BroadBandBeatnik defecting to join Hanso (perhaps, see separate thread about the ROT update and broadband video) ... it would be cool if Hugh defected away from the Hanso Foiundation in part III ... and the team of three hacks their way back into the Hanso website (with us riding their coattails).

Did we ever find out who gave a "package" of information to Jeep causing them to cancel their contract with Hanso? Was that Persephone or some other insider?

As communications director, Hugh would have plenty of media contacts where he could have placed the story to get it on the newswire. He might have done such a thing to "escape" from Hanso (and his marriage) and run away with Darla. However, the story did mention their bodies being recovered - if so, they would have had to substitute someone else's bodies (and disguise this) ... not easy to do.

Alternatively, Hanso could have caused their deaths and made it look like an accident. Most likely, they are really dead, but it would be an interesting twist if things turn out otherwise.

I just think that Rachel, as Persephone, and as lone tracker of Mittelwerk et al, has gone about as far as she can without outside help. The story needs an injection of some person/organization/force to aid or replace Rachel in the fight against the Hanso Foundation. A faction of the GWC seems as likely as any to get involved.

Assuming he reappears at some point, I am very interested to see Alvar's reaction to all of Mittelwerk's activities - is Alvar Hanso aware of all the bad stuff his board members have been doing? Will the Hanso Foundation be "exposed" and need a scape goat to take the fall, only to continue it's evil activities under an even thicker veil of secrecy? Stay tuned, same Hanso time, same Hanso channel ... :biggrin:

She did suspect a trap, so she could have had the whole thing set up in advance. Kind of a safety net against getting caught while making her entry.

She has the updates (cover picture, links, username and password) ready for upload to her blog from a home base location, and she has the host (in this case sublymonal) pre-hacked ready to take the video.

Remember, the picture on here Blog was from the earlier video of the failed meeting, not from her latest video entry, so she had time to get the cap ready.

She then streams her webcam (or camcorder) to her base, which is set to upload to the hacked host on completion. She then writes her blog entry on the Base PC and triggers the upload to her blog remotely.

In an emergency - ie someone busts down her door, she shuts off her laptop or yanks out the network / modem lead.

Her base PC is set up so that if the connection is terminated unexpectedly, it automatically does the upload of the picture and what video is streamed so far.

Since she always writes the blog AFTER posting the videos (her blog entry usually refers to the video content), this scenario would be characterised by the absence of any text in her blog. :biggrin:

The way RB talks in her videos in very ambiguous. I kinda took it to mean that she was talking to GG about Darla. Like you say, RB said "GidgetGirl... Darla was a good ...". After all GG, was asking RB to remove the "affair" pics. Perhaps, RB is feeling some responsibility for the deaths of McIntyre and Darla and this is her confession/ apologize to GG.

Maybe the wreck is why GG didn't show up. RBs meddling got someone close to GG killed.

While I personally believe that Hugh/Darla are actually dead, for those who think it's a conspiracy, perhaps there were bodies recovered, but perhaps they aren't who the authorities think? It'd be hard to do, but it's not impossible.

I can see how it is inferred that GG is Darla, and Hugh and herself are dead. As this is most likely the case (following previous connections RB has given us), I just can't help but be open to other possibilities given the way RB uses her wording. I have done this with all of RB's "speech", as she does leave ambiguous connection in her speech.

At any rate, the inferrence that GG is Darla is most likely correct, but I stay open to other possibilities.

I only had to decompile that first shell.swf file and the rest is out in the open. I'm still not sure how you get to it, though.
