The writer of "Outlaws" is the amazingly talented Drew Goddard. *After this episode airs, many LOST fans may want to become Minions of Ultimate Drew. *Are there other current minions who would like to discuss their excitement (if this thread should even be in this section--should it be in Chit Chat, Lost Talk...?) for another episode of a show penned by Drew?

I'm beyond ecstatic. *I'm busy counting down the days until the episode airs (ten days before Ultimate Drew's birthday). *Currenty, there are 9 days, one hour, and 46 minutes.

I AM a minion!!!! I have loved the Ultimate Drew's writing since his days (Short...unfortunately) on Buffy. And then on ANGEL was he great...again his time too short.. An' now! To see that the ULTIMATE DREW is writing for the best show on TV right now...well SHEEOOT, slap me silly and call me shawty, because I beleive I am thrilled!

I kid you not, ever since I started getting into Lost, and loving it's character episode, every episode motif I got to thinking, "Drew Goddard would be perfect for this show. Character episodes are his specialty!" So I daydreamed, yes, daydreamed, about him possibly making a guest writing appearance. Needless to say, when I read that Drew Goddard was writing an episode of Lost, I totally fangirled out. It was pretty depressing actually. So, I checked news constantly to see which episode he was going to write. When I found out that it was Sawyers. Well, I fangirled out again. It was really pretty depressing. Yay for Ultimate Drew!!!!!!

I didn't know Drew Goddard at -all- until a few weeks ago, the 'Welcome to Liberty Village' episode for Alias. If all of hjis eps are as good as that one, I will -love- him.

You won't be disappointed--unless you have absolutely no good taste in television. Yeah, LOST is cool but it all comes down to what the writers do with the show. Drew Goddard is amazing. You will want to become a Minion after watching the first second of the show...actually, probably less than a second.

In answer to any questions about Minion membership, I do try to update every Thursday, at least, and sometimes before that if I have a lot of applications.* I actually just updated the list again.* This summer was sort of a special situation, and I admittedly got far behind.* Anyways, if you apply and check and you don't have a number yet by the Thursday after your application, feel free to e-mail me and remind me to give you one.* Back in the early days of the fan club, I did personally contact people with their Minion numbers, but with nearly 700 members now that's just too time-consuming to do.

Oh, and if anyone is going to L.A. for the Destination L.A. party, or you'll just be in town that weekend, you're welcome to attend Minion lunch.* I haven't set up the plans yet, but I'm thinking noon-ish on Saturday at Mel's in Hollywood.* You can e-mail me at webmaster@drewgoddard.com and I'll put you on the mailing list for info.* Drew is never guaranteed to come, although he told me yesterday he's *really* going to try this time (and he'll also likely be at the party), but we always have a great time.

Oh, no, you did not let me down. I just am cautious about joining anything that usually requires goat sacrifice. Though I do greatly appreciate the exception being made re: my brother. There also seems to be a hang-up there. My mother sort of likes him and is not ready to hand him over. And to tell the truth, though he is a real pain (you'd think we'd outgrow this sibling stuff by our 40's) I am occasioally fond of him myself...... Could I sacrifice an effigy of my brother?....I've done that before ::)
