I hope sky don't get them either, like they did with 24. I don't think channel4 would give them up so easily(I hope). If they did, I wouldn't get to see it since we can't even get freeveiw where I live! (Or channel5)

Channel 4 have had a pretty good success with Lost. I can't see them giving up on Lost yet.

Yeah, good point, but we would never have got the hanso foundation advert then! Plus I often make my supper during the adverts, so I don't mind them. There just placed inappropriately!

But adverts are a major part of the show at the moment (Sprite, Jeep, Verizon), you make a good point...

I just wish they'd wait until at least after the LOST logo comes on screen to go to the first ad break, it was the same in the US though...

Yeah they did that when showing maternity leave again on the Sunday, they put the first ad break in the middle of claire freaking out after shes seen the first flashback with Ethan! I couldn't understand it, however at least on a Sunday the ad breaks are shorter.

The ads do seem to split up the show though. i mean you dont get into it until the second part and then they give you a fair chunk but then its a break ok it ant as bad as the first but its annoying ...then you have the biggest chunk but it cuts off again just before the end and then it gives you like a 7 minute showing of the last part of the show. I think i would like to see just a big break in the middle in all fairness, i mean i know they cant do it but if i have to have it then i would have it like that.

Most of the time I simply record it and fast forward the adverts, they absolutely drive me crazy!... :mad:

I actually stop the recording when it gets to the ads so I can fit more eps on the tape, I then record over them when I get the DVDs, so I can save money.

yea that's what i do i hate the ad's so much.

If Sky did pick it up, we'd perhaps get the new episodes sooner. I mean it did happen with The X-Files and Friends when they were on the air.

yea thats what im gonna do. i don't want to but theres no way in hell im waiting till septemer next year to see season 3 which is what some people think.

It was the massive break between Exodus part one and part two that channel4 had that first sent me into he realms of downloading, I even managed to order the NTSC Season One DVD and have tat turn up before Exodus part 2 aired in the UK...

I imagine the wait between season two and three will be just as bad, all the forums will be talking about the new episodes and characters and we'll have to wait months and months before we can join in again...

That's not gonna happen, I'm not gonna wait, I'll be watching S3E01 on Oct 5th, I'll be singing it's praises on here the very same day....

i also commented in the linked thread to be sure to tell others that
such discussions are not for this board. if they break a rule,
tell them to edited their own post and to not discuss illegal
downloads again. we encourage "self policing" of the site.
some of the posters did comment but others didnt notice
or pay attentiong...that is when a moderator must come in
and post.

meanwhile, i apologize for my rather snarky "happy now" comment.

If everyone could take away at least 1 lesson learned from the fuselage it would be, obey the rules an don't argue with the moderators, an don't have disputes visable to the public, thats one of the uses for PRIVATE messaging. good words to live by... with some exceptions.

visable disputes are far better than hidden in that it eliminates the
"he said/she said" arguement. since it is out in the open all posters
can see and judge for themselves what actually happened as opposed
to being "told" what happened.

second note: the PM system is NOT to be used for ANY illegal, rule breaking
activities. this includes telling people where to illegally DL eppys, selling things,
harassment and fund raising. why did i mention those b/c at one time or
another this has been done on this site and the involved parties perma banned.

finally note: broadband rawks!

That really bugged me! I saw that ep when it first aired in America and the advert break did not cut at that point. They should have stuck to the same placement as them or not cut for a break then at all.

yea they will and i think it was called destination lost. Revelation was just a recap of the first 9 episodes of season 2
