Been watching some Season 1 to prepare for the new DVDs, just finished ATBCHDI. As Boone and Locke are out in the dark near the end and Boone is questioning Locke. Locke responds with "Can'y you feel it?" "What?" "It!" What does this exchange mean? What was Locke following, and what would we have seen had the hatch not been discovered?

Hmm...I think what he "feels" is the presence of the hatch, but he doesn't know that it's the hatch..he just knows that it's something important that he needs to find

Yeah, I think John "stands" for intuitive knowlege as opposed to rationality...

I thought in retrospect that Locke may have been able to feel the electromagnetic pull from the hatch (remember Des talked about passing that wall inside and it made his fillings hurt)..obviously Locke wouldn't have known what it was he could feel but he may have felt stronger physically or just sensed the magnetic pull on his body

 sorry to state the obvious...suppose it coulda been more along the lines of "twighlight zone" stuff...but I was leaning towards a more practical reason...lol
