I like Naveen with a little scruff, even if he doesn't. Which do you prefer?

I think he's very handsome either way, but the scruff ages him a bit.

I don't know why, but I definitely prefer the facial hair on him. I think he looks really good with it and I don't usually like that on people.

I like him with the amount of facial hair he sports while "triangulating the signal". By the time we get to Live Together, Die Alone, it's just too much. I hope Sayid begins season 3 a little less wooly. But hey, even if he doesn't, the man will still be gorgeous. That's a given. ;)

Maybe he could get an onscreen trim from Kate?

LoL! I can just see it. Sayid sneaks into the others camp, finds Kate and says "Can I get a trim?"

"Is that the only reason you came here? I thought you were going to rescue us."

Lovely any way but I like the scruff but controlled scruff.

Maybe it got a bit wild because he stopped taking as good a care of himself after he lost Shannon?

Most men look better clean shaven, in my opinion, but some just look more masculine with scruff--and he's definitely one of them. So I'm saying scruff, but controlled scruff. And I'd love to see an on-screen trim from Kate!

Most of the time when I see Naveen in old pictures when he was younger without any facial hair, I'm really shocked. I think I like him with scruff a lot better, it just adds so much to his face (including masculinity). But there are exceptions, like Robinhood's avatar.

This should be moved to the Naveen section by the way.

That's probably true..maybe he just stopped caring about it.

I can't believe I missed this thread. I like him both ways, actually (surprise! ) But I agree that the scruff does give him a more masculine look. He has such a sweet baby-face without it. And it really wouldn't do to have a former Iraqi torturer with a baby-face, now, would it? The beard also makes him look a bit less Indian, more middle eastern, for the purposes of Lost.

Naveen looks GREAT with a beard. Makes him look more macho.

He looks a lot tougher with the beard, but without it he looks more Indian.

I love that sweet baby-face:rolleyes:

Actually, his facial hair in your avie is quite nice, Captain. I'll just stare at that for awhile...

I love that picture . . . two hard, hard people showing their softer side to each other. Shannon looks just heartbreakingly vulnerable.

Aw, yes!

The British accent + no scruff= sexy!
But the Iraqi accent+ scruff= sexy!

So hard to choose

I like him either way!

With scruff, you focus on his eyes - so dreamy. Without scruff, you focus on his lips - so sexy!

Am voting for no scruff, but acknowledge that it is very good for the character. I am normally a big fan of beards, but his face is so beautiful, it seems a pity to cover it up. Am also posting just so I can look at my own icon, which is a perfect illustration of this post, I feel.

Naveen Andrews has a cute face, but I love the way he looks in a beard. It makes his face look slimmer and more mature.

He's probably the only man I enjoy in scruff. :)

But then I look at Robibhood56's avatar, and I can't stop thinking how handsome he is.

It's hard to choose!

I think it's ironic that we refer to Sayid as having scruff. I think of that as more of a beard. Now, someone like Locke, who doesn't have a full beard by any means, to me that's more scruff. As I've said before I like Naveen with a beard, although generally I don't go for beards. Some men do look better with them, though.
