Hi there Mr.!

I was just wondering how it feels for you to know that you are one of the reasons so many people are watching this fine show? I know I followed you from the Whedonverse, and I am aware of quite a few more people that did same. Do you find it odd (and cool!) that writers such as yourself have a fan base almost as large as the actors? Before Buffy, I was really never aware of that happening before.

Don't get me wrong, I realize there are many reasons this show is so good, and multiple writers who all deserve props, but this question is just for you specifically.

Thanks!
Willowy

Well, thank you, Miss (Mrs., Ms.?) Willowy --

I will forever be humbled by the attention and loyalty afforded to me by fans. If I'm truly the reason many people tuned into LOST in the first place, than I'm doubly humbled.

I think Joss did more with BUFFY and ANGEL (and FIREFLY) to make viewers realize that it all starts with the story and the script... And I'll always be grateful that I cut my drama teeth working for him.

And it's because of my gratitude to fans like you who appreciate the writing that I went to Artie and Karri about creating this site. A fun place where the creative team can interact with everyone... And where writers like Damon, Javi, and others can get the attention they deserve and haven't experienced in their careers.

Here's hoping we continue to do work that makes you proud and keep you entertained.

It's Ms.

And what a great answer! Thanks for taking the time to reply, and double thanks for continuing to turn out quality product for my entertainment.

Lost is a show that expects something from me. Some spark, some thought, some participation. I can't say whether or not I will ever love, live and breathe it like I did B and A, but I appreciate the fact that the networks finally took a chance on something courageous and different, and that there are writers and producers of your ilk to see that we get challenged, while still being swept away.

Thanks again, Mr., and please keep it up! ;)
