Just rewatched Maternity Leave." I had always thought that Eko killed the two Others as they were trying to kidnap other Tailies. He admitted to Fenry that they were dragging him into the jungle, trying to kidnap him. Does this mean that Eko is a "good person?" If so, why haven't they tried to kidnap him since? Is it possible to have been a "good person," then stop being one? Or did the Others just decide they were incapable of kidnapping him? That doesn't seem right. One would think they could find another way to do it.

This has been touched on in the other Eko threads. I think the Others gave up on trying to kidnap Eko because of his propensity for violence. Also, I'm sure no volunteers amongst the others came forward after they lost two in the previous attempt. The question of goodness is interesting though. Is smokie an indicator of whether a person is good or not? If so, I guess Eko is currently good and Locke is no longer good. What we really gotta see is how smokie reacts in the presence of one of the "Others". One of the things from season two that puzzles me is why do the Others walk so silently when they're in the jungle (i.e. barefoot and stealthily) Is it to avoid getting noticed by smokie?
