I've missed that! Kinda disappeared after the introduction of the hatch.

I agree. Good way to put it. I like the feel of this episode, the intensity and such. the flashback is smart as well.

Anyone else noticing that the writers are kind of making a point with this episode's flashback? I kind of feel like they're saying that the backstories we've come to know and love aren't all that there is... this is definitely a plot twist I'm liking. I honestly was getting mad that Damon and Carlton said they were moving back to character-based action/adventure (being a mythology lover, myself). I hate to admit it but, wow, I was wrong. :)
