and secondly, i thought the hydra one was underwater with jack? sawyer saw this one at his hatch... so shouldn't this one that we see technically NOT be the hydra?

It's a Hydra?

The Hydra is the DHARMA name for the Zoological Research Facility, Sawyer was in the above ground part where the bears were kept (amongst other things) and Jack was in the underwater section that deals with all the aquatic specimens.

Also isn't that a pipe that the logo is on? As in a water pipe. Just a thought.

i assumed The Hydra would deal with just an underwater thing... since the root hydro or whatever means water... doesn't it? why would they use that name for an animal hatch? that sounds a little off to me, but i guess i see that it's all one hatch and the three of them aren't really that far away from each other...

It's funny how this new logo doesn't match the logo on the shark.

Well, Hydra was the creature that Hurcules fought. When you cut one of its heads off, 3 would grow in its place. Wonder if that has anything to do with The Others (not literally, but like their chain of command or something).

I was only kidding, but the logo for The Swan is a Swan, The Arrow's logo is an Arrow, The Staff's logo is the Staff of Caduces.

Yep, I think it's because there are multiple cages, holding areas, whatever you want to call them. Multiple cages = multiple heads.

If you click the link below it will direct you to a picture of Juliet with the water bottle that she tried to give Jack and it has that same logo that we saw on the shark last year...I saw it during the show and the logo also appears on the tray the food is on too. If you have HDTV and DVR then go back and check it out. I wonder what location this logo belongs to. Anyways...check it out:

Somone has 'edited' the picture that was up of the shark logo to make it match the logo on the bottle, I disagre with that, I can make out letters on that water bottle, and going by experience that says...
