I rejoiced when I saw Michaels selfish tush get in the boat and sail away! Sad to see Walt with him though.:undecide: I think some airtime for the mysterious youngster would be cool....as I think he would have some interesting news to share about what kind of "tests" he was being subjected to which might give some insight into his "special" abilities. Even a flashback to show some of what he did before Michael got him when he was living with Mom and step-dad. I am however so glad to see Michael leave....I am done with his character. From how badly he treated Sawyer on the raft after Sawyer had saved his life (with a bullet hole in his shoulder no less, thinking ONLY of Michaels welfare), to his scratched record message "MY son! MY son!!" and his pursuit of his own adjenda was getting reeeeeeally old. Why didn't Michael ever get the point "There's strength in numbers" (pun intended), and work with his shipwrecked mates to devise a plan to get Walt back instead of charging off repeatedly and leaving injured fellow shipmates (John Locke who he slammed with the rifle butt) in his wake? Then to return and murder two women!? And to lead Sawyer (who he SAW firsthand get shot trying to protect WALT!!), Jake and Kate, and sweet, grieving Hurley (who really took a chance as "the fat guy" even pursuing a relationship with Libby) into the grasp of those who he sought to rescue his son from! :eek2: This is NOT the kind of guy I want to see raising any promising teenager!! I'm glad he's gone!! Now "his" airtime can be spent on other far more interesting characters and situations....like reintroducing Walt to the cast on a regular basis!

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Michael. I just cant see them getting rescued & Walt not looking at his dad & saying "What kind of man are you, to leave them like that?" Dont be surprised if he shows up again when you least expect it - & probably dies redeeming himself!

I have to say would love to see a return of Micheal. I would love to see everyone's reaction to him and what he does to try to make amends (if that's possible).

I would also like to see more of Walt. I think they had to prematurly leave his character due to the actor growing while Walt's not supossed to. I hope we at least here about his time with the others though. I am also interested in the 'tests' they made him take and other things along those lines.

I'm very interested to see if we ever do hear from Micheal again. There's real potenital for a good story line there.

Good point about redemption. That does seem to be the core of some of the story lines...Sawyer and Kate come to mind. I think that maybe he will die in saving his shipmates from some Others hanky panky and in his attempt to show Walt how much he loved him by his sacrifices. Michaels betrayal of the Losties, both front and back, does require he "pay" for his choices and actions. Instead of doing things the way he did I think he should have confided in Jack, Sawyer, and (yummy) Sayid and flipped it around on the Others to get his son back.

in my view, it's not a good thing that michael is gone because there are too many unresolved plot line invovlving him and Walt. Even if you are not personally interested in those particular plots, it's not a good sign that TPTB are willing to completely drop what some consider major plotlines. Even if they revive the plotline a year from now, it's less satisfying because the plotline feels ignored. Imagine if your top 3 most burning mysteries were just dropped with a swift unsatisfactory scene.

I would like to see Michael and Walt's story carry on beyond the island. We know that the Others have vast influence and power beyond the island. The fact that they have complete dossier's on every lostaway is proof of this. So what's to say that Michael and Walt's battle against the Others cant continue outside of the island.

Imagine Michael going to the police finally and the officer he talks to says, "Really Michael, and can you explain the reasons behind the death of Ana-Lucia and Libby? Go home, you wont be warned again."

If he can right his wrongs maybe his return would be welcomed (by me anyway) but how do you "fix" murder? We don't know why he shot Anna Lucia...Libbys death was a knee jerk reaction (not planned). Michael could have waited to be in the hatch alone to release Benry. Was he brainwashed? Programmed? They ARE definately "breaking down" Sawyer and Kate, is this the first part of the process? Is that what they are trying to do with Kate, Sawyer and Jack? Will they returned to the Losities with "implanted" ideas as well? Only 4 more shows to go...OH NO!!!

I disagree on Michael, but do agree on "the boy". Michaels stories all had to do with getting Walt back....first from his mother and then the Others. In the short time he had the boy after his Mom had just died he wasn't the most sensitive of Dads either...he threw away the one thing Walt had to entertain himself, the comic book. Michael acheived that and in the process committed a double murder...and at least one of his victims was innocent of any wrong doing to anyone! What goes around comes around on AL maybe, but not Libby who was helping Hurley get past his food demons....and low self esteem and guilt for collapsing the deck where people died. Unless there is a major flashback twist all Libby ever did was help people...starting with (God love him!!) Desmond by giving him her beloved late husbands boat. And to think Desmond missed meeting her again on the island by meer hours....his boat appeared during she and AL funeral so he could never make the connection. I assume burials on the island(s) follow Jewish law, and the "Old West", and take place within 24 hours. WALT is the one who has all the interesting plot lines linked to him and I can see dear, sweet Rose jumping in in a heartbeat :hypocrit: to raise/nurture the boy....but that's just too predictable. I have to think up a couple of added avenues for that one. Time for supper..I'll get some proteins/carbs on board and think about it.

I also dont like Mike, like Ms Klugh said for someone who wants there son so badly you dont know him very well. I am glad that he is gone but mad because he killed to get off the Island, but I also dont think he will ever come back because of what he did. Hey I know that Hurley was told to go back, did he tell the Losties who really killed Anna and Libby so if he does come back they could do what the others did and say we dont want you here you killed two people led four more of us in a trap and therefore we banish you from our little "town"
