Jack never gives up, he never gives in. the others are training him to give in sometimes. they want him to be stronger within him self. I mean, why would Juiliet trust him to stay against the wall the first time? It doesn't add up unless they're trying to train Jack. Why else would Benry close the door. Also, I may have heard wrong, but I'm pretty sure that intercome in jacks cell, said let it go Jack.

You're right that the voice on the intercom said, "Let it go, Jack". It sounded a lot like
his dad(Christian). I think Jack was hallucinating from the drug/dehydration.

I think Juliet hates her environment, the song illustrates her longing for somewhere else and eventually, she could turn against the society she is part of.

Yes, it seems they are working on breaking all three - Jack, Kate and Sawyer. They split them up and will now start working on them. They found Jack's Achilles' heel with Sarah - a good place to start if you want to break Jack. They are breaking him down to build him back up, but to their standards.
