Apparently the plumbing has some issues. :)

Since they all looked the same I thought they might be kit houses or pre-fab and brought to the island partially assembled already... I don't think there is really any significance to that... lol... I think the production designer / producers just wanted the "sameness" to emphasize the prescribed nature of community.

anyone else notice that there were two sets of housings? first, the yellow ones that everyone came out of, then the more shed-like ones with what seemed to look like guards... like some sort of camp??

There were no kids in the group during the opening scene of A Tale of Two Cities.

well, it's not surprising that they weren't at the book club, since kids would tend to get bored at such events. Additionally, after the earthquake kids might be kept indoors where it would be safe.

Still, good observation! It could quite likely have significance!

Okay...here is something that has been bothering me the last couple of days with respect to the lack of children in the Others camp...or so it seems. I was on lost media looking at the episode stills for that particular episode and noticed a photo that really confused me. There was a picture of Jack lying on the table in the aquarium, unconscious, with a little blonde girl standing in the corner looking at him. Now, I didn't see her in that epi, and i know that i was going in and out of the kitchen for snacks but I would have though I would have taken notice. Sorry if that has been brought up before but I need to know if I'm suffering from some kind of missing time syndrome...LOL.

But do you think that the houses were purposely placed there , i mean theres no way the others could have built them with materials from the island.

It's a deleted scene.
