are kate, jack and sawyer going to go through a "training" or deprogramming of sorts? that's what I sort of thought when Ben (I hate using his "real" name instead of Fenry) was implying to kate ... that the next two weeks are going to be rough, etc. i ketp imagining the others as the marines that break you down before they build you back up again.

at any rate, why do you think jack's area of imprisonment is so different from kate and sawyers? do they all have to be "broken down" differently? will jack be the hardest to deprogram?

I think they are breaking each one down differently. Finding there weakness. Kate has been on the run from the law for years. When Zeke came for Kate, he told her to take a shower, and gave her new clothes to wear...minus the underwear. In prison, Kate will be told when to take a shower. ( Like Zeke told her), She would be given a prison uniform ( the dress) and would likely have to be handcuff on the leg to prevent her from escapeing ( the handcuffs).

While it might appear that Ben was treating her nice, she was reminded that she was convict, and prisoner.

While Jack on the other hand was treated with kindness. Juliet showed concern about Jack, by telling him he should eat, and he need to drink some water. ( Jack was the easiest to break down ) First Juliet reminded Jack of his wife, "Sarah, whom Jack love. than Juliet mention Jack's father, who Jack didn't like. What come next, is how they broke Jack down. The whole thing with Juliet allowing Jack to capture her , was a set up.I pointed it out in a thread entitle:Gaining Jack's Trust (http://www.thefuselage.com/Threaded/showthread.php?t=58886)

By allowing herself to be capture by Jack she set up a scenario in which Ben would abandon her, and locke her in with Jack. Which places her in a situation, in which Jack will save her, like he did/wanted to do with Sarah , and cast Ben as the evil guy, like Jack viewed his father. So the situation now between them now parallel what happen between Jack , Sarah and Jack's father. Jack now will view Juliet (Sarah)as a someone who he must protect, against Ben ( His father).

Sawyer was treated the worse. He wasn't given a shower, kind words, nor food. Sawyer was treated like a animal, and made to do puzzle/maze like a common lab rat. They was searching for Sawyer weakness. They need to see, if Sawyer cared about anyone besides himself, so they had the young boy try to escape, and take Sawyer with him. ( who must have been there for a long time, so if he had means of escaping, he likely would have did it "Before" Sawyer came. Therefore, when the young boy is capture again, he is all bruise up, and force to apologize for Sawyer. Sawyer will now feel responsible for getting the kid beat up..( the idea, that Sawyer couldn't look the batter kid in the eye, says it all) They now found his weakness. ...and that is where Kate comes in. Kate is return to the cage, right across from Sawyer. she returned looking all teary eyes, batter and bruise. Sawyer took one look at her, and his heart softens, he gives his only food to kate. The food that he worked so hard for, he freely turn that over to Kate. No longer did it matter what he has been through, he was more concern about Kate's well-being. So now they have something to use against Sawyer. If Sawyer was to try and harm them, or try to escape, they will threaten to harm Kate. The breakdown of the 3, has already began.


P/S: I still do not trust Kate.
