Kate's sun dress was once meant to be worn by Alex (Rousseau's daughter). I suggested in a post last week that I thought it was a symbolic sort of costume. What do we think?

Alex is the name of Rousseau daughter. Danielle would be Rousseau

i too thought that it meant something (creepy) that the others had kate put the dress on, but i don't think the fact that it belonged to alex has anything to do with it...all alex said was that it was hers, not that it was meant to be hers (indicating that it was special in any way), like a wedding dress or something like that...

i want to see more of alex, though. i really want danielle to finally meet her!

actually Danielle is Rousseau. Alex is the daughter and the one who talked to Kate

I think she said it WAS her dress, perhaps they borrowed it from her for Kate. I don't think the dress itself was important, I think it was just a way for them to put Alex into a scene with Kate.

I think maybe Alex and Karl have been demoted or kicked out or something like that. I was thinking that Alex's stuff, all of it, has been taken away from her.

I assumed that Alex and Karl had tried to escape, Alex made it and Karl didn't.

Yeah, but remember that Alex was with Pickett, Tom, and that crew just a few days (in island time) ago. Not much time for her and Karl to plot their escape.
