View Full Version : Re-watching Season 2 on dvd
Finn Buzzing 10-15-2006, 02:06 PM I was rewatching season 2, The Hunting Party; it was the scene where Jacks says to Sawyer something like "Are you here to find Michael or to get payback for getting shot on the raft" and then Sawyer turns around and says "Why are you out here doc? we all got our own reasons?". Sawyer says it in a kind of accusatory way.
What do you think he meant?
Anyone else re-watching S2?
I have already done it and lent my DVDs to a friend who started watching from series 1 like only 5 months ago. Lost seems to have invaded my brain and is infecting my friends!
About Sawyers remark hmmph i'm not sure, at the time I thought he just used it as a defence mechanism, because his reasons for going were selfish. Perhaps there is something more.
mygoodeye 10-15-2006, 04:56 PM yesterday i watched: The Long Con, One of Them, Maternity Leave and The Whole Truth, cos i wanted to see the Henry Gale arc again. (well, i watched The Long Con cos i was ill and watching Sawyer in a towel made me feel better:redface:) i want to watch Lockdown and and Dave again soon tho, the rest of the seaosn i sort of caught on sunday evenings recently
LivingIsEasyWithEyesClosed 10-15-2006, 04:59 PM Yeah, I got three mates into LOST by lending them my DVDs, one is an addict like me, another is also obsessed. I also coverted someone from having the O.C. as thier fave show to LOST. I have also recently lent my mate LOST season 1 part 2.
Maybe Sawer meant that Jack always feels the need to play hero rather than fearing Michael's well-being. Jack was friends with Michael but would risk his life to rescue anyone becuase he always has to help someone. (Just as Sarah says in his flashback).

Yeah I think your right about Sawyers comments, geez in S2 Jack is a right stroppy little madam! He really bugged me in the first 3 epis of the season, with the whole hatch/button/desmond thing. I hope he cheers up in S3, he surely cant still be denying mysterious happenings are going on now that he's been kidnapped by the Others!!!
Jacks only doing what he thought was right, if I was down the hatch I certainly wouldn't believe straight off that the button 'saves' the world. Anyway Locke wasn't v.cheery himself at the end of the second series either. Though he will find himself again. (Locke that is.)

Locke is suffering a crisis of faith, Jack is just a complete and utter control freak. The whole hatch strop and how difficult he is when they capture Henry Gale is so frustrating, he was wrong both times as well lets not forget!!!
Locke is a control freak too! Hence "don't tell me what I can't do". That is why Jack and Locke clash.
Finn like the new avi! but Locke has gone!
