View Full Version : Which Lostie has the most interesting past Lady EKO 10-19-2006, 07:33 PM Out of theses 8 losties who is the most intriguing to you? Who seems to have the most turmoil, pain, angst, in there life off the island? I cannot decide, please help me lost fans. MaggieRyanJr 10-20-2006, 08:48 AM WHere's Kate? SHe'd be my vote. irish lost fan 10-20-2006, 09:04 AM Out of the above. Sayid. Out of all the losties, Claire. palomino_grl78 10-20-2006, 12:04 PM I'm voting Desmond. He was in a military prison...and I want to know why. What could have have done that was so bad...or did Mr. Widmore have enough influence to get him put in there. I want answers!!! Indy 10-20-2006, 02:53 PM On that list, my vote is for Locke. He seems to have done a lot of different stuff in his past! I always enjoy those episodes with his flashbacks! And I still need to know, why he ended up in a wheelchair. sheba 10-20-2006, 03:00 PM I'm torn between Sawyer and Kate (who is not an option in this poll) simply from the viewpoint that both of them had actually taken on new identities and lived as different people in their past. I've always been facinated with how that would feel. I see something on the news about men with different families in different cities or people in the witness protection program who have to become different people ... and I wonder 'How do they do that?' ... I think the pressure and the stress of maintaining that level of duplicity would drive me mad. Phantomsong 10-20-2006, 04:45 PM I donno, I'm kinda torn between Locke and Eko. Locke has done so many different things in his past. Eko has become a very changed man from his past. I like both characters, they are quite interesting. lostgurl 10-20-2006, 04:55 PM Hurley. The guy met someone in a hospital who was repeating strange numbers, then he uses them and wins the lottery. He buys the box company Locke works at, Libby was in the same hospital, the chicken place he used to work at gets hit with a meteor. His luck is horrible, people around him get hurt or dead. He goes to Australia and finds out more freaky stuff about the numbers. Crazy! strwbrryflke86 10-20-2006, 05:27 PM I voted Sayid (duh  ) mostly for the whole torture aspect. That's just so far away from anything I could ever wrap my brain around, it's amazing to think that actually happens. And when considering torture, it's generally from the point of view of the victim. I think examining the subject from the point of view of the torturer is a nice twist. Hurley is my second choice...those crazy numbers... Wally 10-20-2006, 05:38 PM As far as all Losties are concerned, I will vote for Kate, there are still points which needs to be solved out... Otherwise, Locke's past seems very weird... Take care all ! Wally Randingo 10-21-2006, 11:00 AM Since I cant vote, I'm gonna have to say Locke. Lost_In_Louisiana 10-21-2006, 11:02 AM Why does this list only contain MALE Losties? flashbackfan 10-21-2006, 12:16 PM Kate would be my vote as well, but since she wasn't listed I voted for Locke. Lost_In_Louisiana 10-22-2006, 11:29 AM Why does this list only contain MALE Losties? What's even stranger is that the creator of this poll - LadyEko - I will assume is female! Why would she (purposely, it seems) leave all of the female characters out of the poll? There HAS to be a logical reason and I await her answer. Save The Humans 10-22-2006, 08:11 PM Maybe she doesn't think any of the female characters have an interesting past? The Snowman 10-22-2006, 08:23 PM locke and ecko , need to see more of ecko's past. 100% What's even stranger is that the creator of this poll - LadyEko - I will assume is female! Why would she (purposely, it seems) leave all of the female characters out of the poll? There HAS to be a logical reason and I await her answer. yes this poll is flawed, anna lucias past was pretty interesting. CharliesHoodie 10-22-2006, 08:26 PM Desmond. Enough said. christy23 10-23-2006, 11:24 AM I vote Jack because I am drawn to characters who seem more real. bryce110 10-23-2006, 11:31 AM I would say Sawyer simply because his "backstory" begins when he is a young child and grows from there. Locke and Hurley have very interesting pasts, but they are limited, basically, to single events (kidney theft; lottery win/numbers fallout). applecrush 10-24-2006, 06:18 AM i wouldve voted for DANIELLE if that had been given as an option, but in this case, I will choose Sawyer. Marcus 10-24-2006, 08:51 PM I voted Locke, because at this point we still don't know how he came to be paralyzed and that's something I've been dying to know since October 13th, 2004, when "Walkabout" first aired. :eek2: ;) jasoncountdown 10-24-2006, 09:00 PM Locke>Jack>Eko>Desmond>Hurley>everyone else>Charlie Save The Humans 10-24-2006, 09:14 PM locke and eko, need to see more of eko's past. Snowman, you will get your wish on November 1! True enough, applecrush. Danielle's FB will no doubt be fascinating--IF they ever get around to it. So will Ben's backstory, and Juliet's, and Alex', and. . . . But we have to stick with the stories we know about so far. Locke's was interesting, but it's been told (save for the how he got in the wheelchair story, which I really despair of ever seeing). Desmond's story drew me right in, and there's still a lot more of it TO be told! Both Terry and Ian are excellent actors, and make their respective tales even better! So it's the have-more-to-learn factor that led me to vote Desmond. jellyfrog 10-24-2006, 09:40 PM No contest as far as I'm concerned... It's Eko. The African warlord part of his life alone could very well have enough horrifying stories to fill dozens of flashback episodes. Add to that the change he went through to become a priest in truth as well as name, and it's incredibly intriguing and unusual. Can't wait to find out more about him. I'd like to see what happened to him right after Yemi's death. Fishy76 10-25-2006, 08:48 AM Desmond, Hurley, Locke, Sawyer. Not that I don't find the others' (with a small 'o') stories interesting, its just that its them who i really wanna know about now. :) Brotha1516 10-25-2006, 09:09 AM I can't vote, but I would have to say Charlie has a pretty interesting past. I mean, he is "a bloody rock god". Maybe not so much interesting as sordid. Lost_In_Louisiana 10-27-2006, 04:20 AM Locke and Hurley have very interesting pasts, but they are limited, basically, to single events (kidney theft; lottery win/numbers fallout). I don't know about the interesting parts being limited. I mean, after all, Locke's mother was crazy, he grew up in a foster home, his sister was killed at a young age, and his foster mother claimed a stray dog was his reincarnated sister. I don't know, I just think it would be really interesting to see the different events of his childhood, tragic as they may be. :undecide: xo 10-27-2006, 04:27 AM I can't vote on this (not enough posts yet I think?), but my vote would definitely be for Locke. His episodes are always favorites of mine, and I really love his character in general. His flashbacks are always super interesting to me, and I can't wait until the writers decide to tell us why he was paralyzed. After Locke I'd have to say Kate or Sawyer. I also really, really enjoyed Shannon and Boone flashbacks when they were still around. :frown: Kitsume 10-29-2006, 09:47 PM For me, it would be Eko hands down followed by Hurley. Desmond a thire. The reason is that these stories seem to have the most connection with the island and after all, that is what I really care about. Missing kidneys, divorce, daddy issues, running from the law, torture, touring in a band etc. That's all well and good, but if it isn't showing any relevant connection to what is going on in current time or offering much for clues, it's just mildly interesting filler usually. jonboy861 10-30-2006, 02:25 AM I say Desmond as well. Plus he has awesome powers now. jbdean 10-30-2006, 04:19 AM I had to say Desmond though Locke is a very close second with Sawyer in at 3rd. I chose Des because I think he still has such mystery surrounding him and prison and Penny. Also the Widmore name has shown up on the island now 2 times and that has to mean there's more of a tie-in with the whole crash and button pushing thing. I think we're going to find out some really cool stuff about Desmond this season. But I'm also anxious to find out why Locke was in the wheel chair and just who the real Sawyer is. Perdida7 10-30-2006, 03:18 PM Desmond because of his connection to Widmore and the way he arrived to the island. Of the losties I would say Jack because of his father. Lady EKO 10-30-2006, 06:01 PM Thank you for answering my poll everyone. The reason I did not post any female Losties is because in my discussion group ( I invite 4 nutty lost fans to my house every week to watch the show and discuss afterward) none of the females character ever came up. We all came to a conclusion as to what top 3 female Losties has the most interesting past. The big argument was over those 8 characters, I listed. I was merely trying to come up with a top three for the guys. I apologize for any offence or confusion. Thank you again. Supermom 10-31-2006, 03:12 PM Hurley...he's not my favorite character but his connections with the numbers and how they tie in with the island makes for some big questions about him and his past... |
