...i had this posted on another thread, but no one was reading it. i'd just like to get people's opinions, and maybe we could like band together and make a superscript, then all bug the hell out of the writers so they can read it. i am a writer, so i'm used to criticism. if you want to make suggestions, feel more than comfortable to do so.
ok, here it goes...
we are on the beach. peope once again move their belongings higher up, because the tide is rising again. (no, the island is not sinking) locke and boone are cruisin through the jungle one day, casually talking, not really looking for anything, just trying to navigate the island a little more, when all of a sudden, the trees start to thin out, and they find themselves on the other side of the island. they stop right at the ridge-line (where the trees meet the sand) , and have this look of awe struck across their faces.
WE GO TO COMMERCIAL (lol)
Meanwhile, Sawyer flirts with kate, and jack saves someones life. charlie and hurley are playing golf, and michael is teaching walt how to draw. Walt draws an island. we THINK its the island that they are occupying now. Michael tells walt to see the picture before you draw it (kinda like the locke 'minds eye' stuff)
Boone and Locke are walking back through the jungle, talking about what they saw. they are vague. they talk about who to tell and who not to tell. they get back to the caves and sit. sayid inquires as to where they went and what they saw. locke says nothing, but sayid is suspicious. he lectures about how honesty is the only way they can progress on the island, and we can tell locke has had enough of it. he tells sayid to get a few others that he trusts and meet them on a trail that they all know. sayid gets jack, kate, and sawyer (sawyer? yeah, sawyer). they meet locke and boone, and they follow him to where locke and boone were before. they get to the beach, and we finally see what locke and boone saw. another island. however, the two islands are only separated by like 50 feet of water. Above the trees, we see more mountains, and what appears to be a black rock protruding. it gleams in the sunlight. sawyer approaches the water, getting ready to cross, when locke stops him. locke goes into a monologue, talking about how the little gap between the islands is only 3 feet deep, and when the tide is low, the sun hits the bedrock, creating seaweed and other plants, and when the tide is up, fish eat the plants. with fish come sharks, and when the tide is up, sharks populate the little breach between the islands. heavily populate it. so they have to wait until the tide lowers. so they wait.
meanwhile, charlie and hurley continue to play golf, and we find out that walt was actually drawing the other island, complete with a black rock protruding from the trees and all. the sun sets, and the water starts to lower signifacantly. sayid, jack, kate, sawyer, boone, and locke all contemplate what is beyond the water. suddenly, the tide sinks, and it looks like moses has just split the seas. powerful climactic music plays in the background, and they start to walk across to the other island. it's one of the most touching and awesome scenes in all of lost (or at least in my mind). as they cross, sayid and locke notice something under all the sand. it looks like a piece of metal or underground tunneling that connects the two islands. it's part of the hatch.
THE END
tell me what you guys think. i love criticism, and maybe we could all pitch in and add more ideas to this wannabe episode. please no one steal my idea. just be communal and creative, and add to it.
