I don't know if someone has already posted this, but I was thinking, what if the stuff in the flashbacks is actually the present, and the stuff on the island is the past.

Sure would be an interesting journey for Aaron, dontcha think??? Aging backwards and all, to the point of conception. But I'll give you credit for trying to be different.

Also, kinda odd that none of the losties acknowledge each other when we see them in the airport together during flashbacks. And don't forget about everyone who has died on the island. We saw them all in flashbacks. Did they find a way back to life?
