Since Jack made a comment of "you guys have cheeseburgers??" I am beginning to wonder if Juliet was serious about killing the cow herself and rendering the animal fat for the burger..... it kind of implies that they have the means to do all that on their end of the island....thoughts??

All I can say that it totally took me back to some point in season 2 when Locke brings Ben some mangoes and Ben asks "So why I guess there's no chessburger"... hehe..

It seemed like she was just being funny. Mmm Dharma burgers. It did look good though.

Did anyone have the thought that maybe it was a Collette burger?

I think it's obvious there's a Ruby Tuesday hatch.

Two things, 1. Juliet was just being facetious (you think she ground up the flour for her muffins with a millstone?); and 2. it's not Collette, it's Colleen.

Hee hee, now that's what they need out there on the island!

It was just a bun with Dharma beef and salad in it.....the whole exchange about it was very playful and flirty though

She was just kidding around with Jack, as usual.

Not sure what to make of the "cheeseburger".....

either they have decent contact with the outside world to get FRESH food or

DHARMA supplies frozen beef patties in their air drops.

I DON:T buythat they raise cows in Othersville

What if thats it? - the whole thing, the others are cannibals who see themselves as good people who are just surviving by eating their dead neighbours..... Colleen ! ??

She had to be kidding and Jack knew it. She had trouble making a grilled cheese and didn't she burn something at home in "Otherville"?;)

yeah it think Juliet was joking and using it as a way to bond with Jack, bring his guard down more, she knew she would be showing him the video soon....

aka flirting... at which Juliet is an ace.
Sitting cross-legged and barefooted on the table kinda enhanced the effect.

Yeah, and if you noticed it was working. I thought Jack was going to buy her a malt and ask if she wanted to go steady..........

What's funny is that they have polar bears, dharma sharks and a weird smoke monster, yet you totally dismiss cows (which are fairly common anywhere) as absurd :P

Anyways, could be deer as well. Who knows.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they raise livestock - what would surprise me would be food drops of perishable items.

you guys are retarded... that was obviously a joke. her tone of voice and the fact that people joke about stuff like taht all the time makes it obvious

Excellent memory!

I've often wondered what Ben's motives were for going to seek out the Losties in the Swan. Maybe he was just going to ask Jack to come back with him and operate, but the Losties treated him (understandably) as the enemy out of concern for their own well being. Which made Ben play head games with them out of self defense.

Mmm Dharma burgers.

That reminds me. I cant check this myself because I dont have this Lost season recorded, but in the first episode were there any "Dharma" containers in Juliets kitchen? Or any where for that matter? If not, are the Others living off of non-Dharma supplies? Can anyone check that from Season 3, episode1?

:eek2:
makes more sense than a herd of cattle supporting the amount of "others" we've seen...

although, it was probably a bit charred after her viking sendoff at teh others beach...

how man cattle would it take to perpetuate a food supply for a group of 25-50 people anyway???

would it even be POSSIBLE?

but that reminds me of benry's comment in season 2 about not having milk with the cereal... maybe he's used to it, just like cheesburgers~:hypocrit:

Well I thought it was strange, too. Maybe she was trying a little to hard to joke with Jack. Some people aren't very good at telling jokes.

I don't think she did any of that, I think it was just a joke.

After hearing Juliet talk about the cheeseburger, I think it's the first time during Lost that I've actually wanted to eat the food on the show. Not sure why, but the way she described it made me hunger.

LOL....nice Pen! I think we were meant to initially take it as a joke, but once you sit back and think "where did they get fresh meat??" it makes you wonder if she was really telling Jack the truth about killing the cow, etc because she knew Jack would take it as a joke. That way, later on if he finds that they do have fresh meat available she can honestly say that she didn't lie to him
