I know the quote below is in previous threads, I only use it again to stress my point that Tom is getting panicked and may have reason to oppose Bens Strategies and/or leadership.

"...only 2 days since the sky turned purple, we've been blind, our coms are all down, I can't get em back up again, and incase you forgot Collens in crit...." - interupted by Ben as Sawyer wakes up.

Sounds like a laundry list of problems and we only heard the end of it.

Maybe Tom was airing all of the recent problems in a manner that may suggest panick, and also maybe Tom felt Ben wasn't addressing all the problems the way he should be.

Listen to the sarcasm in Toms voice when he says the words "turned purple"...It suggests that the sky turning purple was a mystery to them as well, and it is the least of Bens problems.

Maybe Tom too has a problem with Ben being in charge.

Go back and carefully watch the scene...
It's not the words that are so important it's the inflection and urgency in his voice.

Long stretch, but maybe he is the one operating the camera for Juliette.

It's an interesting idea, but I rather got the impression that Tom was one of Ben's supporters. Juliet's video implies that many people still support Ben, although "some" people want a change. She stresses that Jack must make it look like an accident, which implies that there could be retaliation if Ben dies. If Tom is not one of the Ben supporters, then who is? Pickett? We know so few of the Others. I feel we have to assume that out of the few we know, some will fall on either side of the "schism."

Juliet vs. Ben.
We know that Alex is not on Ben's side. But can we then assume that she would align herself with Juliet? Not necessarily.

What about Tom? He has been in the forefront of all the action against the Losties up to now. I still think he is a Benry disciple, even if he is a little freaked out by the purple sky.
