I hope so. I'd really like to see their conversation with Penny. I'd also like to see an explanation of precisely what they were looking for, and where were they looking? Were they *covering* a large area, or was their attention more focused?

So many questions. So few answers.

I suppose we'll see them again if we see Penny again. And I'm 100% sure that that will happen. But I couldn't care less for that storyline. I don't like it.

She's going to be a major factor later on. Penny and Desmond being reunited, "for love", is going to be a major theme in coming seasons, I'm sure.I'd also like to see an explanation of precisely what they were looking for, and where were they looking? So many questions. So few answers.Sorry, for *me*, that stuff falls under the heading of "Not necessary for the plot to advance". We can extrapolate that they were looking for bursts of electromagnetic energy, which they found, twice at least. The area? [shrugs] It's like TPTB say, they simply can't spell *everything* out, a lot of times what's shown is perfectly acceptable to move the plot along.

Len Cordova, who plays Mathias, is a hottie though, I wouldn't mind seeing him again. :)

Ah, those halcyon days when people freaked out that it was Jack/A clone of Jack/A genetic mutation of Jack/Jack was caught in a time warp etc. that was underneath that skullcap. :)

If LOST time is less linear than we usually experience time-travel (that's to say, in the one direction and at an even pace... time dragging during a visit to a boring relative and flying when you're having fun aside), we might see those halcyon days again. :)

The prospect of seeing 'Matt' again - a lookalike Dr who does something other than shout and look pissed, is one so cool I'm white hot for it. Bring it on!

I've a suspicion Henrik may be named for Ibsen. Hmmmmm - do you think the Hurleybird could be a Kingfisher? ;) Halcyon days indeed if these things come to pass.

Well, Jeremy, I don't believe you. Desmond and Penny get reunited at the end of Season Three and then killed off or something. But it certainly won't be a major theme in coming seasons. If it's going to be a major theme in something, it's Desmond's very own story and that's it. Stupid Penny.

I hope so because they're both totally cute and funny (:
I guess if I was sitting around snowcaps playing chess I'd be on the less alert-side, too

Especially if my habitual climate was usually warm...
Haha I love when people refer to them as The Freezing Brazilian Men.

The question is....how did Pen get hooked up with these two? lol

And what's wrong with that?

I always wanted a DDH show :21:

Kidding. But M&H are intriguing. Do you think they did the monitoring for a long time? Just because they didn't seem that desperate to give it up... like Kelvin for instance... But they weren't paying attention, what means that their job was pretty boring.

If all they were doing was monitoring for anomalies, more details might not be needed, but Darlton said that the final scenes in LTDA were not what they seemed, so we could be totally wrong about what they were actually doing.

Hey, what's this about Penny I'm hearing :furious: ;)

Stupid Penny who's the daughter of the man who's involved with the Hanso Foundation. Stupid Penny, with a lot of money because her family's firms sell things like pregnancy tests, provide(d) the DHARMA Initiative with their supplies and construction knowledge. Stupid Penny, the first person not named Alvar Hanso, Karen DeGroot, Gerarld DeGroot, Charles Widmore, Mr. Paik and Thomas Mittlewerk to know the exact location of the Island.

Etc. etc. Sorry, Remus, I think you're wrong, Penny is integral to the plot, and she's integral to the plot because she's a Widmore, who are integral to the plot and she loves Desmond.Just because they didn't seem that desperate to give it up... like Kelvin for instance... I've bolded a reason that they might not have been too anxious to give up their work--it was not part of the subtitles when the episode aired (Mathias is #1, with the hat and glasses, Henrik is #2, with the full beard):1) (pointing to the computer) Há quanto tempo tá fazendo isso?
2) (Goes frantically searching a binder)
1) É isso, não é? A gente não percebeu de novo, eles vão matar a gente! [TRANSLATION]
1) (pointing to the computer) For how long it's been going like this?

1) That's it, isn't it? We missed it again, they're gonna kill us!

Wow, great find. I went to see the scene, and he does say that! With an emphasis, so he really means it too. (First I thought it to be just a figure of speech).

So who are these "eles"? Penny is working for some dangerous people? :eek2:

It would be helpful if we had people who speak brazillian portugese to let us know if a phrase like " they're going to kill us" should be taken literally in their culture or if it's just a common saying that's meant as an exaggeration

(and of course no Penny could never kill anyone ;))

You know I love Penny, but I just saw it, and M&H were pretty freaked they messed up (again). But at least he didn't say "she", he said "they". Dharma? Hanso? Widmore? Whichever, I'm afraid Penny is in it :17:

Oh yeah, I'm just being a bit silly and biased by supporting Penny  We don't know her character that well, so she could be involved in something shady.

That's a really interesting find, thanx for sharing JB!

But it still remains the fact that he said "they". Meaning not only Penny...

Based on the Lost Experience, depsite her piles of cash, I don't think Penny can do much without her dad or the Hanso Foundation knowing about it.

Well it's not a figure of speech per se... but you know... when I screw up at work, I might say: "Uh oh, my boss is gonna kill me if he finds out" but that doesn't mean he'd REALLY kill me.

So we'll have to wait, watch and see...

"They" didn't kill them when they screwed up last time, so it makes sense.

Wait, watch and see, right. I think we'll have to wait really long to find out that one. I'm not even sure we are going to see M&H again...
