View Full Version : Jack's magic tattoo
Hollie 12-02-2006, 09:06 PM it seems there is a tattoo artist on the island.
Anyone notice the continuity error in season three?
Jack seems to have a new tattoo on the underside of his left arm, adding to the old '5' and chinese characters. Some brightly coloured stars have magically appeared...
I am right in thinking they weren't there before, am I not?
How niggling. :drowsy:
Fabienne P. 12-02-2006, 09:15 PM Nods, I've noticed something similar as well...
jennylee27 12-02-2006, 09:26 PM That is Matthew Fox's real life tattoo. He's had it since long before Losts, so I don't think it has changed...

Not only are the Matthew Fox's real tattoos, but they've been seen in earlier episodes of Lost, all the way back to Season 1.

's true, It's noticable in Pilot part two when Sayid and Sawyer are scuffling. :)
Although very, very subtly.

*feels rather stupid for not noticing that one*
But yeah, further backs it up for me, I suppose. :)

I'm watching Saturday Night Live right now, and they were doing the MAYAN skit and the tat is there, so the tattoo is real.
He now has a skull and crossbones on his right inner forearm, wonder if that comes into the show at all?
lovelost4815162342 12-03-2006, 01:18 AM ya wev definatly seen them before...

Yeah, I saw that too. I was really hoping that the skull tattoo was just a rumor or fake. So, I guess he'll have to get it covered in makeup for the rest of the show, unless they write it in, but I don't know how they would do that.
I really like Matthew's tats, but I don't like that one. Skull tats seem tacky to me.:dongetit:
LostFANatic91 12-03-2006, 02:11 AM I remember in season 1, there was a picture of him and the stars were there... So I don't think they're new.
Fabienne P. 12-03-2006, 09:38 AM I knew they are his real tattoo's BUT if you take a close look at said episode you'll see what is going on it's as if part was covered up at some time
Retinend 12-03-2006, 12:48 PM Yeah, Jack's Tattoo's have been discussed a lot on lost podcasts and message boards. Apparently they're Fox's own Tattoos but they'll be incorporated into the show with some significance. Should be interesting.

Like people have said, they were always there, but it's possible that people have gotten tattooed on the island. We already know that they have needles, all they need besides that is ink, which with all the other stuff they seem to have from the crash, is certainly possible (or from the hatch before it imploded maybe). Whoo! Prison style tats.
