View Full Version : Uk lost podcast is back
sawyer101 12-12-2006, 08:26 AM yea its back anybody heard it yet. well i have and i think its good and
now people can call in heres the link for the site http://www.hansoppression.co.uk/home.php
Yeah I have listened to the first one and the further instructions, but I don't think its up to its old standards (still grumpy about Sky). Plus I can't download on to my MP3 player. Since its only on i-tunes.
SimonB79 12-13-2006, 06:21 AM Just out of curiosity I went on this site and downloaded the 3 podcasts onto my PSP, it was effortless they downloaded straight off the website (no use of I-Tunes needed), The sound quality was fantastic, but I have one gripe :), This show is totally scripted and fake;), its blatantly obvious they have actually watched the US version 1st and are pretending not to know what happened .
Even the phone callers are scripted and fake , what do you guys think?, am I possibly being to harsh. :undecide:

No I agree, it really does sound scripted, thats why I don't like the phone calls. Plus have they actually had any female veiws on the series thus far? I liked Nikki but I haven't heard her on the Lost inititive, she had interesting points to make.
Still can't get it onto my MP3 though, maybe its just my inadaqute IT skills,
AgentMonster 01-09-2007, 01:53 PM Have they only done three? They've only done up to Further Instructions and no more after that. How about the remaining of the "mini-series" episodes?
luv me_ luv lost 01-09-2007, 02:52 PM There are more up on the SkyOne website i would insert a link but i gotta revise for my exams sorry!
AgentMonster 01-09-2007, 03:28 PM Oh, right. Thanks for letting me know.
For the people who have listened to them and say that it's obviously scripted - I haven't yet watched the first 6 eps and was going to listen to the podcasts after I watch each episode week by week - - but would this be a good idea or do the participants in the podcast tend to give things away b/c they've seen further episodes? I know they wouldn't let spoilers slip out but it's hard to give an objective opinion on plotlines in an individual episode if you've watched further on and know what happens.
Any opinions?
Dark Angel 01-25-2007, 06:52 AM Now the UK is pretty much up to date with the US, I'd check out some of the US podcasts. The Sky One video cast with Iain Lee was terrible, has he even watched Lost? I would recommend the Lost Community Podcast, but as it's the one I am involved in I am somewhat biased  . Lost Casts is very good as well and can be dowloaded directly from their site.
kickflip_chick 01-25-2007, 03:19 PM LOSTcasts!! I always back them! Those guys rule!
Whisper - One of your posts was mentioned on there a while back

Someone asked and I have them linked via xml on my google page. Here's the link for that -

And now my opinions, I think they just go on sites such as Lostpedia, because Geeky Tom mentioned seeing the message on Mr. Eko's jesus stick in Further Instructions (which had just aired then) but was not properly seen until The Cost Of Living (which aired two weeks later), regardless, I think these podcasts are cool, though they have ditched the wicked introduction.
Would have liked it to stay, but with added season three quotes.
AgentMonster 02-15-2007, 03:54 PM Ah, wonderful, Pkmn - I've been looking to download these podcasts but my antiquated lug of a computer won't download properly from many places. Thanks for putting them here. Any chance of updating the list in another month or two?

This is what I suspected and the reason why I'm not going to listen to the podcasts just yet. If they're reading spoilers or have been watching ahead then that will show when they're talking.
PkmnTrainerJ 02-19-2007, 04:42 AM Yeah, sure I'll put up links to new ones, probably every Monday morning.

Re: The Lost Initiative
This week's The Lost Initiative will be posted tomorrow (Wednesday) at about midday. Our presenter Iain Lee is in LA shooting a documentary for Sky One. He's back today and we're rushing him straight into our Lost bunker to make this week's podcast. So sorry about the delay. From next Sunday The Lost initiative will be released after the show as usual. Thanks so much for your patience.*sigh* Best get back to regular dammit.
It's all active now, link is further up.
The Island is Waiting 03-18-2007, 01:24 PM I have never actually listened to the UK Lost podcast! Has anyone listened to the UK and the US podcast? Which one do you prefer?
I know last year there was the issue of spoilers on the US one, but thats sorted now because by the time the Official Lost Podcast hits iTunes and the Lost website, the UK epi to go with it has already aired!
I love the Official Lost Podcast with Damon and Carlton, but I think I will also download the UK one at some time...

I too am a big fan of the Official podcast with Damon and Carlton. They crack me up
I haven't listened to this season's UK podcast yet (downloading them to listen to at a later time) but last season's was really good. They injected a lot of humour into it, especially with the viewer theories section. That part was hilarious. I've heard a few people say it's not quite as good this time round, though.
Have you listened to LostCasts? I'm just catching up with them by downloading their season 2 podcasts (I don't mind being on a time delay) and they are very good. Very in-depth.
scorpiusdiamond 03-18-2007, 06:19 PM Is there an RSS feed?
I can't get enough podcasts at the moment...

Yeah, Damon and Carlton crack me up too! I must go listen to the lost casts though...
I only started listening to the podcast midway through season two. I hadn't downloaded them all by the time the third season was shown (I'm still on dial up and it takes a long time to download them!) and they were taken of iTunes and the lost website. If anyone is interested, I found a site with podcasts pretty much as far back as they go - although the "Lost at ComiCon" podcast isn't on there:
http://www.dharmasecrets.com/forum/index.php/topic,4045.0.html
Does anyone know where I can download the ComiCon episode? I loved the clip on the season 1 DVDs, and I would like to download the podcast, but I can't find it anywhere!
AgentMonster 04-28-2007, 04:13 PM Are there going to be anymore links to the C4 podcasts? It was really handy for me to download them here.
