I have to say that if you can't walk and chew gum at the same time don't. When I am driving and am stuck behind a slow person anywhere, freeway, highway, side streets, when I notice the are gabbing on the phone I get so angry. I wish I had a com on my car so when I yell at them, they can hear me. hehe!!*

When I tell a grandpa or grandma to stop driving, when I am behind them, my daughter goes where is grandma and grandpa. hehe!! she is so cute!!

Talk about road rage. You should hear me yell at people when I'm behind the wheel. I get very creative with those four letter words. ;D

Hmm . . . I have quite a few things to post here.

Let's start with just a few. I should mention at first that I live in NYC and don't drive very often, so I have the pedestrian's point of view.

First, the turn signal. Use it. PLEASE. Especially if you are coming up to an intersection and see someone on the other side waiting to cross the street. If I KNEW that you were going to turn, I wouldn't have waited for you to get there.

Ok, again, with the turn signal. Once you have turned, TURN IT OFF! Do you not here the clicking in the car that tells you that it's still on? Are you planning another turn in 10 miles? Or are you just trying to confuse everyone on the road.

If there is no traffic light, and I am in the crosswalk, STOP! You know it's the law, don't you? Don't just drive by at 50 mph (in a 35 mph zone) and look annoyed that I was trying to cross the street. I'm sorry to trouble you, but I am the one in the non-climate-controlled environment here.

And for when I'm driving, putting my turn signal on is NOT a sign for you to speed up so that I can't get into your lane. Did you think I wanted to get into your lane just for the fun of it? Or maybe I am actually trying to make the next exit. And I HATE when people do this and then HONK at me. Umm . . . hi. Would you PLEASE just let me in? Do you think I'm going to make your trip take that much longer?

You are most welcome, clairbabydaddy. This is fun!! I have to agree with the makeup thing. I get so pissed that some women can't get up early enough to do their freaking makeup. I do and I have a 6 year old to help get ready. gees!! ::) I say a lot of nasty things at these women and don't mind honking when they don't start to move when the light turns green. I also love it when I get the dirty look for honking at them. Duh....move!! hehe!!

In Utah, where I live, it is actually against the law for semi's to be in the left lane on the freeways.. If they are going to pass, it's okay, but not to cruise in, we already have way to many silly people doing that. hehe!! And blinkers should only be on for changing lanes and turning and they should be on. hehe!!

Oh boy, people who don't use blinkers....what can I say.....those are the people I want to rear end and then push their face into the steering wheel and make them watch as I give them a free lesson on how the blinkers are used and when to apply them. THANK YOU for stating that one. Seriously. I do not have my blinker on for my health. It is not some repetetive meditation thing. I am also not planning on getting into that person's lane just as a cruel trick to slow them down. And seriously in 10mph bumper to bumper traffic, what difference is letting one car in going to make? They're not going anywhere fast anyway.

I drive often in Phoenix, which is one of the worst places to drive.

I've not been let on the highway by some girl who didn't look old enought to even be driving. I've had people get pissed at me because I'm only going five over the speed limit. In the slow lane.

I LOATHE people who drive speeds of over 100. I'm not talking about highways in the middle of nowhere. but a highway in the middle of town and even regular streets.

Is there something about having to be ahead of the people who are signaling to get into your lane? Yes. that is my exit, and no you're not helping. Why don't you put your children in seatbelts now please? I can totally see them, climing all over the backseat.

This may just be me. But I really don't like the cars that have fifty people in the backseat, which makes the end drag on the road. And you can only go 30 in a 40. And they're in the fast lane. Thanks.

I have a problem with people who think that when they do use a blinker that it automatically clears a spot for them. You're supposed to find your window to move over then use your blinker and proceed. Just because you have it on, it doesn't mean the world clears a path for you. This is mainly during heavy traffic.
Also, look in your rear view mirror before changing lanes. If there is a car quickly coming up on you, don't move in front of it and slow down. Here's a thought, wait for them to pass you or stay in the slower lane. And if a car does come up quickly on you, why not just move over and let them pass?

And another thing, it's not a bad thing if the car in front of you has a couple of car lengths of distance from the car in front of them. It doesn't mean you're going any slower, it just means they don't want to plow into the front car should he stop suddenly.

YES!!! finally, i've been waiting for a thread like this!!
i live in a town of less than 3,500 and some how people think that gives me the right to drive any way they please. For example: stop signs. to some people in my town, they are a suggestion, not a law. i don't know how many times that i've almost been plowed into by these idiots, but they look at me as if i've done something wrong! oh you don't even want to get me started about the turn signals, i think i'm the only who uses them in my town!! and i'm not talking about the citizens, the police do it too!! oh another thing that bugs me, parking lots. those yellow lines, i thought those mean you park between them, NOT ON THEM!!

OMG, so true! Especially if it's raining or snowing. I HATE when I'm leaving a little room in front of me, and so someone else feels like they have to cut me off. So I try to leave a little more room in front of me so someone ELSE has to cut me off. PEOPLE. WE'RE GOING 60 MPH, maybe we should be more than a few feet apart!!

Yeah, I believe you're supposed to have 1 car length per 10 miles an hour. So 70 mph, you should have 7 car lengths of distance, not 7 feet. I really hate tailgaters in the rain! Grrrrrrrrrr!

I walk to and from work and I can not STAND it when people are FLYING down the road and here I am, poor me, just trying to not get run over! I mean---can they not tell that there is no shoulder for me to stay on.....and the grass is muddy????? And the speed limit is 35 anyway! NOT 50!!!!!

As a pedestrian I would say thanks to you for stopping for me.........but I live in a town where everyone waves at everybody anyway! But I honestly can't stand riding with people who think they own the road and are always right..........severe road rage and all you can do is clutch the door in hopes you don't wreck or get whiplash! I hate those kind of people....my grandfather is one of them, HELLO! Old guy!

In Salt Lake there is a law that you have to stop for people at a cross walk and if you don't and are caught it's a $75.00 ticket and you have to pay it. Then for the peds they have these orange flags that you have to carry, if you don't and get caught, it's a ticket. hehe!! this has actually cut down some of the car/ped accidents.

I hate when pedestrians walk right infront of the car you are driving.....and you have to quickly slam on the breaks and flip them off :)

Bikers that have to be on main roads!?!? These folks are my arch enemies. The hard core, helmet wearing kind that HAVE to be on a two lane main road. You can't find another road with a lot less traffic? Last night around 6:30-7 o'clock I had a guy dressed up like Lance Armstrong insisting to be a part of the Route 252 traffic. There's barely a shoulder for this guy and no street lights at all. Dangerous and Stupid. Be a biker all you want, but use your head

Joggers and speed walkers are a problem around here. There are several very nice bike/jogging paths, but do they use them? Of course not. Even when they jog/walk through neighborhoods with perfectly fine sidewalks they insist on being in the street . And why do so many of them wear dark, non-reflective clothes at night? Idiots.

Another thing that gets me is when people cut around traffic by driving on the shoulder. Or when people drive in a lane thats clearly marked 'exit only' then change lanes in a panic at the last minute.

Just to add to what Watership Down just said about drivers driving in the exit lane and then cutting back into traffic in the nick of time, people who are in the left or middle than that cut through two to three lanes of traffic to exit. GGRR!! If you know your exit was coming up, get over sooner. These people are accident causers and probably don't realize it and if they do they don't freaking care. Idiot!! ::)

Some drivers in my state have a HUGE problem when it comes to driving in "bad" weather. I understand that when it is snowy terribly or raining so hard you can't see that it's appropriate to go under the speed limit, BUT when it is a little bit of rain, possibly even a light sprinkle, there is NO need to go 10 or under the speed limit!!! I'm 18 years old and have only been driving for three years....how is it that people in my state can't seem to grasp how to drive in these conditions??? GAH!!...now I'm upset...

Tailgaters! If you can't count two seconds from when the rear of the leading car crosses a line till your front bumper is , you're following too close.

Bass turned up so high others can hear or sense it in their closed cars with music on. I once pulled up beside a moron doing this with gangsta rap. It was giving me a headache. So.....I cranked Mozart up all the way and opened my windows. You should have seen the look on his face.

How about, when two lanes are both turning left (or right, doesn't matter) and the one car is in the far left and you are in the other lane, and they drift over into your lane, like it's all one big lane with no rules!! There is a traffic circle really close to my apartment and I am so scared to drive on it b/c I know what I am doing, but most people don't and they just change lanes without looking, mainly because THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THEY ARE CHANING LANES!!!!

I got cut off this morning by a guy driving a SUV with a large cup of coffee in one hand and his cell phone in the other. Reminds me of a woman I was behind last week. She was trying to steer, shift, and talk on the phone all at once. Brilliant. ::)
