View Full Version : The Six Week Project
"We've created a monster!"
--TRoss, Treasurer of the Six Week Project
As we all know, there is going to be a six week hiatus after the episode "Numbers" airs on March 2, 2005.* It was decided in a thread entitled "Six Week Hiatus!!!!!!!" (the link can be found below) that we would start a project constructing our own monster in the interim.
We need lots of employees to help with the project.* As Manager of the Six Week Project, I will assign all duties.* We're currently in need of some very big jobs.
If you're interested or have any questions, please post in this thread and we will decide the proper role for you or answer your question.* Also, feel free to PM me.
Here's the link to the thread that started it all:* http://www.thefuselage.com/threaded/index.php?topic=6587.0
Titles of the Employees (in no particular order):
Chesyre:* Assistant Manager of the Six Week Project
Tarrish:* Creative Director of the Six Week Project

fanofangel:* PA to the Manager of the Six Week Project
JeremyBender:* PA to the Assistant Manager of the Six Week Project

uk_girl:* Head of Human Resources for the Six Week Project
diabolo237:* Head of Fund Raising for the Six Week Project
peanutbutter101:* Historian of the Six Week Project
Hekawi: Secretary of the Six Week Project
If you would put your title in your sig, that would be lovely.
Cheshyre 02-19-2005, 10:08 PM Reporting for duty, boss. ;D
*pulls out her clipboard* *checks Mouth-Breather off the list* What. The. Bananas. Where are the rest of you guys!? What are you!? Incompetent!? >:(
fanofangel 02-19-2005, 10:15 PM I don't have alot of experience but I'm a quick learner. Could you use a hand?
Sure fanofangel! Join the project. Now, since you don't have a lot of experience I may have to give you some janitorial work. You know, wiping up glitter and whathaveyou. Let's talk about it. Mouth-Breather, do you have any imput?
Cheshyre 02-19-2005, 10:26 PM Well, boss...fanofangel could be a gopher or a lackey or a trainee of some kind.
Or, like you said, a janitor.
I think fanofangel will be my Personal Assistant. Yes. Fanofangel, you are now PA to the Manage of the Six Week Project. As a U.D. minion, I trust you.
Mouth-Breather, you'll need a PA too.
fanofangel 02-19-2005, 10:34 PM theG - I am honored, I will not let you down. Reporting for duty.
JeremyBender 02-19-2005, 10:35 PM [crisp military salute] Reporting for duty!
I'm an administrative assistant in "real life" so I could do things like make coffee (nice and strong), answer phones, spend an hour at the photocopying machine etc. :)
Seriously, how will this work? Do we show up here during the hiatus on Wednesdays at 8:00pm? How to account for the different time zones--if it's 8:00 pm EST, I'm out because I'm on my way home from work at that point.
Sorry if this has been covered, I didn't feel like digging through 9 pages on the other thread.
It has not been covered. Thanks for the queries, Jeremy. It's nice to see someone who appears competent. If Mouth-Breather is okay with it, you may be her PA.
So far, we're just rounding everyone up. You should check the thread periodically. I'll PM you if we do decide on an official meeting time, but that seems unlikely.
Cheshyre 02-19-2005, 10:40 PM My own minion! Rock! *Er, I mean, whatever you say, boss. *
Jeremy, you are now the PA to the Assistant Manager of the Six Week Project.
Tarrish has PMed me, and is now up for the possibilty of being the Creative Director of the Six Week Project.
fanofangel 02-19-2005, 11:25 PM I just returned with Subway Sandwichs for everybody with chips and drinks of course. It looks like it could be a long night.
Wow, fanofangel. You're a superb PA :-*
Does anyone have any problems with me making Tarrish the Creative Director of the Six Week Project?
Cheshyre 02-19-2005, 11:41 PM Not from me.
I just hope Tarrish knows what they're in for. ;D
Yes, that girl will be run ragged! I do NOT tolerate incompetence!
XxNicholeexX 02-19-2005, 11:53 PM Ok calm down Manager, no need to go all banana crazy on us. ;)
Sorry it took me so long to get here, my Josh Gorban Live at the Greek DVD was calling my name.
So I think I'm going to need to know what everyone's favorite food and drinks are.
Yes. I suppose I don't have to go into Manager mode on you as you were busy with other fandoms.
Food: Spaghettios
Drink: Ice cold water
Cheshyre 02-19-2005, 11:58 PM Food: Baked sweet potatoes
Drink: Cherry Coke
Juggling fandoms is not easy. I've been going back and forth between the 'lage and writing LAS fanfic for the past hour.
I've been posting on here instead of editing my Spike/Faith essay. I suppose I'll get around to it sometime...
XxNicholeexX 02-20-2005, 12:00 AM Yes and Josh Groban is very important.
Odd, I was just eating spaghetti and also, with the way you went bananas on me about the tea earlier, I would have figured that would be your favorite drink and not water.
Oh and yes juggling fandoms is very hard, especially when I am a fan of many people/things. *sigh*
Actually, my PA (fanofangel) is on tea duty now.
XxNicholeexX 02-20-2005, 12:02 AM Ooh, will your PA be making tea for everyone?
Nope, just me ;D
Perhaps if we get someone who wants to be an Assistant Caterer, he/she can make you tea.
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 12:06 AM I've got my own PA to make tea for me. *;D
Juggling fandoms gets hard when I look at my to-do post-it and realize I've got stuff to write for four different fandoms and wonder how the heck I got myself into this. Heh.
withay 02-20-2005, 12:24 AM OVER HERE! PLEASE HELP ME, OVER HERE! ( climbs out from under a very large pile of fabric, thread, needles, beads, buttons, bells, paint and glue) I would like some tea, please. Extra lemon. I think I have enough fabric but I will need to order a truckload of fiber fill to stuff the monster with. And if we decide to go the bird route, I'll need feathers. Who is in charge of purchasing? Does anyone else know how to sew? :lol2:
Well, withay, let's see what Nicholee can whip up for you in the tea department. Currently, we're in need of more seamstresses/seamsters. We still haven't gotten a Treasurer (as they manage the budget, they will also order products), so I suppose we'll have to wait and see if we get one within a few days. If not, Mouth-Breather and I will get our PAs to do it.
withay 02-20-2005, 12:49 AM Okie, Dokie.
Now for my really stupid question.....Where are instructions on how to put an avatar on my posts? I just don't understand. This is the first place I've ever "talked" to other people so I'm sort of a baby at all of this...
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 12:54 AM You go to your profile, which will give you the option to edit it. You can choose to use a provide avitar, link to your own, or upload your own.
Tarrish 02-20-2005, 02:58 AM Hello everybody. I was out, but now I'm here. I have starbucks coffee to look more refined, and brought some grey fabric along.
Now, we're going for big, scary, and of course putting a small little island theme into this monster. I want people putting there blood, sweat, and tears in this monster. *mind you I have one of those lil french hats on*
If anybody wants any scones there in the corner by the scraps of metal.
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 03:01 AM An island theme, huh? Can it have a lei and a pineapple?
chellekay 02-20-2005, 03:05 AM I can I help out with anything? I am a good helper!
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 03:06 AM chellekay...do you have any specific skills?
Tarrish 02-20-2005, 03:08 AM Maybe the Lei can be on one of it's claws. *Then we could work parts of the pineapple for the top side of its head.
chellekay 02-20-2005, 03:14 AM chellekay...do you have any specific skills?
I can talk! I can do almost anything you want me to do!
TRoss 02-20-2005, 03:26 AM Reporting for duty, Mr. Sassafras, sir! I used to work at a bank - would you like me to be the treasurer?
PS. Tarrish, love the hat!
withay 02-20-2005, 03:36 AM So have we decided on gray for the monster or is that just what you have? I have to admit (hangs head and turns red with embarassment) that I am addicted to purchasing fabric because I might need it one day and it is on sale. I understand that the monthly storage fees have long since offset any savings but..... *::)Whatever color we decide to make this monster, rest assured, I have the fabric for it. I probably have fabric that is older than some of you! :lol2:
Oh!Oh! Oh! *My best friend and her daughters have been cutting the shoulder pads out of their clothes for years and giving them to me. I started out using them but their contributions have long since exceeded my use (and I do have that pack-rat problem ;D), but they would make great scales if they were covered!!!! Our monster has to have scales!
PS. Though I am a most excellent seamstress, I still do not understand how to get an avatar. The only ones I see available on the profile screen are not the Lostaways. How do I get one of the Lostaways from the avatars to my profile. I do well with specific step by step directions. Could someone PM me how to do that? pretty please, with a cherry on top?
What. The. Bananas. TRoss. *Did you just call me "Mr."? *That's "Ms. Sassafras" to you, young lady!
And, yes, you can be treasurer.
Tarrish, you have proven to be far from incompetent so far. *Good job. *Your hat is nifty times fifty.
chellekay, you can talk? *Well, that certainly doesn't make you sound competent. *Perhaps we can whip up a job for you...Anyone have any suggestions?
withay, all questions regarding the design of the monster should go to our Creative Director, Tarrish. She appears competent...so far.
chellekay 02-20-2005, 03:43 AM chellekay...do you have any specific skills?
I can sew and cross stick, I am really good with crafts
(and cook, but you need that)
chellekay, you are now Co-Head Seamstress of the Six Week Project. Basically, this means you are not the Head Seamstress and you do whatever withay tells you to.
chellekay 02-20-2005, 03:46 AM aye, aye
withay 02-20-2005, 03:49 AM Ms. Tarrish, maam, Just tell me what it needs to look like.........I can make my own patterns or use one I already have and add or subtract features as needed. Are we going for life sized or not? *Sorry for all the questions, it's just that the planning *is half the battle... :smiling:
TRoss 02-20-2005, 03:50 AM What. The. Bananas. TRoss. *Did you just call me "Mr."? *That's "Ms. Sassafras" to you, young lady!
Sorry, sir . . . I MEAN MA'AM, MA'AM! **damn, I'm not making a very good impression . . . hope I don't get fired my first day on the job*
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 03:55 AM Sorry, sir . . . I MEAN MA'AM, MA'AM! *damn, I'm not making a very good impression . . . hope I don't get fired my first day on the job*
*giggles* I dunno. You're doing okay so far in my opinion.
withay 02-20-2005, 03:56 AM Chellekay, does that stand for Michelle Kay? My best friend's name is Michelle Kay ( I know you are not her though because she cannot sew on a button!) , that's why I ask.
Could you start covering those shoulderpads with that gray fabric for scales, please? Tarrish has not given us design guidance, yet , but I feel safe starting on the scales.
TRoss 02-20-2005, 04:04 AM How do I get one of the Lostaways from the avatars to my profile. I do well with specific step by step directions. Could someone PM me how to do that?* pretty please, with a cherry on top?
withay, I hope this works, let me know if you still have trouble:
Adding an avatar:
1. *Go to the gallery button at the top of this page. *When you click on it, it should say "Avatar Gallery". *
2. *You'll see several choices such as "couples" or specific character names. *Search through until you find one you like, then right click with your mouse and save it to your computer.
3. *Go to the profile button at the top of this page and click it. *Click on Forum Profile Information, and you should see a place for you to choose either 'I have my own pic' or 'I will upload my own picture'. *Choose 'I will upload my own picture'. *(If you've got an avatar on a webpage all by itself, for example in a photobucket, you can choose 'I have my own pic' and just put that web page in there.)
4. *Click on the browse button and search for the avatar you saved on your computer. *When you find it, click it to put it in the browser. *(This is the step I'm not totally sure about - it's been a while since I did it. *If it prompts you to upload your picture, there's another step I forgot!).
5. *Go down to the bottom of the Forum Profile Information page and click 'change profile'.
Let me know if it works!
TRoss 02-20-2005, 04:07 AM *giggles* I dunno. You're doing okay so far in my opinion.
Are you an instigator, Cheshyre? ;)
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 04:13 AM I do have a tendency to live up to my name, TRoss. ;D
Tarrish 02-20-2005, 05:41 AM Well what we must ask ourselves is....
Does the monster look like any machinery?
Do you want it to look like a big lizard?
Real?* Imaginary?
I brought the gray fabric for the underlaying of the monster.* We work from there.* (drinks espresso)
XxNicholeexX 02-20-2005, 02:12 PM withay, did you want herbal tea or what kind did you want? I need to know so that I make the correct kind.
Ms. Manager, is there something else that I can call you aside from Manager? I don't want to call you that all the time, and I certainly do not want to call you a letter since that will get my confused being that I have nicknamed a certain guy "Letters".
I suppose, since you'll be supplying me with Spaghettios, that you can call me Mally. Unless you're a Flan/Browncoat, in which case, you should call me Mal because that's always fun.
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 04:40 PM Tarrish...I've always thought the monster looked like a big cow. 'Cause nobody expects a cow to be menacing. But what do I know?
I was wondering, though, since there's a popular theory that the monster is actually a reflection of people's selves, if we couldn't some how incorporate that concept.
Good Goddard, my employees are amazing!
XxNicholeexX 02-20-2005, 04:53 PM Tarrish...I've always thought the monster looked like a big cow. 'Cause nobody expects a cow to be menacing. But what do I know?
Moo cow moo. :)
Mally it is then. :)
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 04:58 PM Boss...amazing in a good way?
Nicholee...A plaid cow, though. So it can moo in an accent. ;)
Yes, amazing in a good way. I must depart, though. My niece (Claire) is here. Keep up the good work! *points* >:(
XxNicholeexX 02-20-2005, 05:03 PM Boss...amazing in a good way?
Nicholee...A plaid cow, though. So it can moo in an accent.* ;)
LMFAO! Can it be a pink/purple plaid cow?
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 05:05 PM Nicholee...If I've got a pink/purple plaid skirt, then there can be a pink/purple plaid cow.
XxNicholeexX 02-20-2005, 07:16 PM Mally, how old is this niece of yours?
Should I go get some grass for our plaid cow?
She's two and a half. She's so adorable. I love her to pieces. We have the same birthday. I'd better stop myself now before I go too far!
TRoss 02-20-2005, 07:30 PM Tarrish...I've always thought the monster looked like a big cow. 'Cause nobody expects a cow to be menacing. But what do I know?
I was wondering, though, since there's a popular theory that the monster is actually a reflection of people's selves, if we couldn't some how incorporate that concept.
We could cover it in little mirrors to reflect peoples selves. That may be why no one seems to be able to see it.
Hmm. . . on second thought, that may make it look like a big disco ball. :o Tarrish, we need you!!
PS. I think our slogan should be "We've created a monster!!" ;)
TRoss, that's an excellent slogan!
withay 02-20-2005, 08:12 PM TRoss, Thank you! It worked. I knew where everything was, I just couldn't figure out how to put it all together. Probably the fact that I was trying to do it very late and after my nightly dosage of pain medication* did not help. But I do believe Mr. Sawyer is now gracing my posts ;D Yummy!
I think putting little mirrors on it is a good idea. The only way it would look like a disco ball would be if it was round. Since it always seems to be in the jungle, camaflouge material with scales and mirrors. I live in South Georgia; there's lots of camaflouge available.
And not meaning to insult anyone but....... if the monster is a reflection of ourselves, I don't see it as being a cow or pink and purple plaid!?!?* :lol2:
XXNicoleexx, I would like sweet, iced tea with lemon. Or ice water if you don't have any iced tea. I forget that I am not working with southerners only ;D (not that that's a bad thing..)*
TRoss 02-20-2005, 08:56 PM Ooh, withay, you picked a good one! ;)
XxNicholeexX 02-20-2005, 09:12 PM XXNicoleexx, I would like sweet, iced tea with lemon. Or ice water if you don't have any iced tea. I forget that I am not working with southerners only ;D (not that that's a bad thing..)*
I'm actually a bit of a southerner too, well more so a south-westerner but still in the south. *hands withay sweetend ice tea with lemon and a little umbrella*
Cheshyre 02-20-2005, 10:39 PM Boss...My niece is three and her birthday is the day before mine. We got an LOTR cake this year. ;D
TRoss...Maybe, instead of the disco ball look, it's just got like a mirror necklace or a mirror on it's belly or something. BTW...fantastic slogan.
withay...I think inside all of us, there is a pink/purple plaid cow. ;D
withay 02-20-2005, 11:21 PM XxNicoleXx , Thank you so much for the tea. It really hit the spot. The umbrella was was a very nice touch. I'll save it for my niece.
Sorry I was gone for a while, the other niece neede to use the computer for a paper. But I used the time to make an islandish bracelet (or ring, depending on its size) for our monster.
Chessyre, I've looked and I just don't think there's a pink and purple cow in here.... :no2:
XxNicholeexX 02-21-2005, 12:18 AM withay...I think inside all of us, there is a pink/purple plaid cow.* ;D
There is definitely a pink/purple plaid cow inside of me, that's where all the food goes. :)
Withay, no need to thank me, that's my job. :)
Cheshyre 02-21-2005, 12:47 AM withay...you must be a sad, empty person without your pink/purple plaid cow. ;D
TRoss 02-21-2005, 12:48 AM Maybe we can make her one before the Six Week Project begins?
XxNicholeexX 02-21-2005, 12:50 AM Maybe we can make her one before the Six Week Project begins?
That sounds like an excellent idea, especially because we shouldn't be starting on the Project until the six week hiatus.
Cheshyre 02-21-2005, 12:57 AM I agree. How can anyone work efficiently without their pink/purple plaid cow?
XxNicholeexX 02-21-2005, 01:02 AM I agree. How can anyone work efficiently without their pink/purple plaid cow?
I don't know, I just don't know.
withay 02-21-2005, 05:55 AM You know, I have been feeling like something was missing in my life.... ::) I thought it was Sawyer, or maybe George Clooney but it might be my pink and purple plaid cow. Maybe they took it out by accident when I had my brain surgery :-\
Okay, if you think you could make me one, I'm open for it. It's not like there's anything else to do here in Cuthbert, Georgia. (I really miss Atlanta- but that's another story).
I know I don't have any pink and purple plaid material, do you? I do have thread and those roll around eyes (runs to sewing room to look for thread and eyes) and I know I have a cow pattern because my sister-in-law used to collect them (sits down to think where exactly that pattern might be) ::)
uk_girl 02-21-2005, 08:56 AM Oh, how did I not know this project was taking place?? Is there still a place for me? I don't do making tea very well, and I don't like taking orders, but I am very good at organising.
I also have feathers. I have cats, so there will always be a healthy supply of feathers in my house. I can ship them airmail if you like ;D
I do believe that a pink & purple plaid cow, with scales and mirrors sounds perfect. Truly...I have always imagined the monster to be that way, but with feathers too, you know, you gotta use feathers, and glitter...lots of glitter. Oh, and pretty earrings....and her hoofs have to be pink, hot pink. Oh and can she wear Gucci sunglasses, cos they are the coolest, and it's quite sunny on the island
All creative issues need to be taken up with Tarrish. As manager, my job is to assign the jobs, point, scowl, and sometimes I give praise when praise is do ('cause I'm cool like that ;) )
Well, uk_girl, I think the only job I can think of for you is...janitorial work. I'm working on sprucing up the title.
Janitorial Organizer of the Six Week Project?
uk_girl 02-21-2005, 09:38 AM Noooooooo, not cleaning. have a heart, I have children so I am always cleaning. It's not even as though I enjoy it either!
Surely there must be something more officey to do. Um, human resources, I could find us a contract cleaning company for the mess, listen to all the employees problems & complaints, be their union rep etc, make sure our creation was used ethically and not exploited for her novelty value? Or howsabout PR? I am very good at finding things too, just not so hot on the cleaning and tea making.
I've been soooo nice to you too, letting you be Lance's #1 fan and all that.....and you got to fly away with Sawyer and wouldn't even share >:(
See? That's why we list all of our talents!
I suppose we'll make you PR. I know you'd do right by our spectacular project.
Cheshyre 02-21-2005, 12:01 PM withay...While I don't have any pink/purple plaid fabric on me (only red/black right now), I'll be on the lookout for some for you. We must get you your pink/purple plaid cow.
uk_girl...Welcome to the team!
uk_girl 02-21-2005, 12:04 PM Well can I split that with Human Resources work too, as I just lurve listening to other peoples problems, moans etc, it makes me feel so much better. *
Who is the creative person? *Do you want me to airmail the feathers? *(disclaimer - you may have to remove attached bits of yuck, as I am relying on my pussycats to supply said feathers)
Thank you so much for the welcome. ;D I promise to do my very best to ensure that our monster is the best looking and most popular monster on this block, and in pink and puple plaid how can it fail to be......
XxNicholeexX 02-21-2005, 01:16 PM I do believe that a pink & purple plaid cow, with scales and mirrors sounds perfect.* Truly...I have always imagined the monster to be that way, but with feathers too, you know, you gotta use feathers, and glitter...lots of glitter.* Oh, and pretty earrings....and her hoofs have to be pink, hot pink.* Oh and can she wear Gucci sunglasses, cos they are the coolest, and it's quite sunny on the island
Oh Gucci sunglasses are must! Don't forget the Louis Vuitton bag, ;) Welcome to the team. :)
withay 02-22-2005, 01:01 AM As Head Seamstress, I must serve notice that all manner of "yuck" must be removed from the feathers prior to my allowing them in my studio. I have dogs and if there is any manner of "yuck" involved with the feathers, they will try to eat (or at least chew up) said feathers. Then they will probably have to go to the vet and I wil have to clean up after them and .... well, "yuck" on feathers will just not be satisfactory.
Thank you Cheshyre for checking your fabric stash for me. I will also be on the look out for the correct pink and purple fabric.
UK girl, I do not think the pink and purple cow was part of the proposed design for the monster but rather a description of our muse. Scales and mirrors is really all we had come up with so far. I had always sort of thought of the monster as as sort of a snake because we had been told it lived in the trees and yet it also seemed to be at home in the sea.

Kinda like Loch Ness without the Loch, huh? ;D I guess that explains where the bird theory came from I'd heard of. Birds like trees and birds like water.
uk_girl 02-22-2005, 03:49 AM So I guess that Gucci sunglasses are out too then? :(
Cheshyre 02-22-2005, 03:59 AM I dunno uk_girl. I think Gucci sunglasses go with anything. ;D
Tarrish 02-22-2005, 07:52 AM So many posts, so little time.
I know many have fell in the love with the pink and purple cow, and I think we can put it into our project as a side accessory for the monster. What would a monster be without a purple/ pink victim cow? Every monster needs a victim.
On that note, I think we need to prepare for the teeth. Shiny sharp teeth would be wonderous. I can see it now. *puts down Red Bull* Can anybody weld here? We have to be careful with the sharpness of the monsters teeth. That can become a safety hazard. I must take that up with human resources. Maybe they can ship us in some badly needed safety equipment.
Thoughts?

Ooh kinda like a favourite toy that a kid will bash about when they are in a bad mood.

With regards to the welding, I would have to check but I am sure that any and all welding practices would require the welder involved to have completed a safety course prior to any actual welding taking place. Maybe we could compromise with 6 inch builders nails hammered into a curved shape and painted silver or chrome coloured? As my father is a builder I have plenty of 6 inch nails....in fact he gave me a handful the other week, I still have no idea why ???
Tarrish 02-22-2005, 09:31 AM Lets get the training started Uk_Girl. Sounds wonderful. More trained people means more beautiful art!
uk_girl 02-22-2005, 12:23 PM Lets get the training started Uk_Girl. Sounds wonderful. More trained people means more beautiful art!
Ok then, now we're rocking. Who wants to be trained? I am in the process of finding out the health & safety requirements for welding, and the trainees will be required to read the manuals I post, and face a (very) short test. After passing the short test you will be cleared to perform all welding tasks as you wish (upon the purchase of suitable welding attire, I'm thinking some overall type things in a pretty colour, a hat of some description and a pair of goggles/sunglasses) ;D
Cheshyre 02-22-2005, 04:27 PM Are you sure we want actual sharp teeth? What if some jackaninny unrelated to the project accidently cut himself on them? We'd be sued (I nearly typed "suede", but I don't think anyone would go so far as to "suede" somebody).
uk_girl 02-22-2005, 05:03 PM Oh I dont know....I do hear that suedeing has become very popular again
If we can round up our own little Mafia-type thing, I'm sure we wouldn't have to worry about people sueing us.
uk_girl 02-22-2005, 05:19 PM Oh bugger, it's the management, quick, look busy! :o
So we need some scary men then, preferably with sharp suits, italian accents and violin cases. Know any? I know a guy from Sicily, but he has foot trouble so I doubt he would be of any help
I'm sure I've got some connections, uk_girl...
uk_girl 02-22-2005, 05:38 PM Ok, well that's sorted then. Jolly good! :D
My sister does have an italian boyfriend, but he has a girly name so I doubt he would be very good at scaring people, or deterring them from sueing (or suedeing) us. :-\
*At considerable expense to myself, I employed my son to remove the stated yuck from the feathers already in my possession. However I am now anticipating a drop in the feather turnover as Tinkerbelle has run away :'( *
I will send my Italian Mafia men out to find your kitty, uk_girl!
My mother married an Italian man once...it didn't work out.
uk_girl 02-22-2005, 06:13 PM I will send my Italian Mafia men out to find your kitty, uk_girl!
My mother married an Italian man once...it didn't work out.
I married a Scottish man once, that didn't work out either....... :-\
Andrea, my sisters boyfriend, does seem to be quite nice, he buys her Prada ;D
I don't even know where to start looking for Tinkerbelle, she has disappeared. It is awful. We have been searching the side of the roads just in case :-\
If Tinkerbelle cannot be found, you may have Maya Miss Kitty Fantastico (my kitty whom I dislike very much).
XxNicholeexX 02-22-2005, 06:36 PM I hope you find your kitty, even though I hate cats. :(
I think, as another side project, we should make me a little miniature pink/purple plaid cow so that I can play with. :) Also, it might help me from going crazy from a work over load, I just found out that I have to take all honors classes next year, bar my elective. :(
TRoss 02-22-2005, 06:57 PM My sister does have an italian boyfriend, but he has a girly name so I doubt he would be very good at scaring people, or deterring them from sueing (or suedeing) us. :-\

OT
Bananas.
There I was at the store, giggling at a pile of bananas, people staring at me like I was a loon.
You want to know why? Three small words:
What. The. Bananas.
I can't help myself . . . curse you, Sassafras!!!
Now I have my whole 4th grade class saying it . . . it's going to be the next pandemic. :o
uk_girl 02-22-2005, 08:19 PM If Tinkerbelle cannot be found, you may have Maya Miss Kitty Fantastico (my kitty whom I dislike very much).
Why do you dislike the poor kitty =^-^= Is she ugly?
:lol2:

YES! YES! My life is complete!
Why do you dislike the poor kitty =^-^= Is she ugly?
Maya Miss Kitty Fantastico is quite the pretty kitty, actually. She's a bit on the wild side, though. I also don't like cats. I find them icky.
Tarrish 02-22-2005, 08:33 PM Oh bugger, it's the management, quick, look busy!* *:o
So we need some scary men then, preferably with sharp suits, italian accents and violin cases.* Know any?* I know a guy from Sicily, but he has foot trouble so I doubt he would be of any help
A few of my cousins look pretty scary. I'm sure I could throw them into the bunch for a low....l o w...price. They have many a baseball bat.
XxNicholeexX 02-22-2005, 09:46 PM I find it rather funny that you do not like cats and yet you have one. I don't find cats icky, I just don't like them. No reason really, just like I have rather irrational fears of clowns, mimes, and snakes.
I find cats extrordinarily icky. I don't know why I have one. I love her sometimes, but most of the time I hate her.
NOW GET BACK TO WORK!
XxNicholeexX 02-22-2005, 10:11 PM So I managed to completely fudge up quoting your comment and I just know noticed that. hmm.
*Gives Mally Spaghettios*
Thank Goddard! I've had to resort to eating bread with spaghetti sauce!
XxNicholeexX 02-22-2005, 10:14 PM I like bread, but not with any kind of sauce on it.
Okay, now who is getting the thread off track?
XxNicholeexX 02-22-2005, 10:18 PM Uh, Shannon. ;D
Now, I know we're both Shannon fans here, but this is the Six Week Project!
TRoss, I've just got to say how much your Bananas story brightened up my day. I'm in a ghastly funk. It's terrible.
XxNicholeexX 02-22-2005, 10:26 PM Me? A Shannon fan? I think you must have me confused with someone else!
OK I'm gonna try really really hard to not go off topic.
So what do you guys think of my idea that I suggested earlier for a mini project before the hiatus? (In case anyone didn't see it or doesn't want to go back and read again it was to make me a little miniature pink/purple plaid cow that I can play with so I won't go crazy in my honors classes next year)
TRoss 02-22-2005, 10:27 PM TRoss, I've just got to say how much your Bananas story brightened up my day.* I'm in a ghastly funk.* It's terrible.
I think we have a real life "it'll come around", here. *You made my day, I made my students day (they keep giving me banana pictures), they made my day, and now I've made yours. *Karma in action.
Hmp. . Hmp. . *clears throat* *Alright, enough of my mushy talk. *I'm back to working on the figures for the project. *I'm worried about the tea budget . . .
:roflmao: Thanks so much for the laugh, TRoss...especially the tea comment.
Now, to be serious here, I know tea is an important part of the Six Week Project so don't make me have to What. The. Bananas. you again.
TRoss 02-22-2005, 10:38 PM :lol2:

I think the cow is a fabulous idea.* Your use of colors brought me to tears!* I would love to use it as a victim for our infamous monster.* We don't have to ruin the cow to use it as a victim so you'll be able to keep it at the end.* What do you think?

OK, that's fine with me, I just want to be able to have a little cow. :)
fanofangel 02-22-2005, 11:20 PM Good evening all...................................all the talk of Italians made me hungry.
I got everybody Spagetti with meatballs and french bread with cheese on it and a salad with Italian dressing.
I have tea and wine to wash it down with. Maybe the boss could give everybody a 30 min break to eat? Please, while dinner is still hot.
Only have a few more minutes and my 8 hour shift will be complete, is there any last items I need to see to before I call it a night G ?
What. The. Bananas. fanofangel.
I'm pretty lax vegan, but I am lactose intolerant. I can't believe the incompetence. You guys can eat while I go cry because I can't even get Spaghettios (the kind without the crappy hotdogs and whathaveyou). I can't even point and scowl. Ugh.
Cheshyre 02-22-2005, 11:37 PM I feel horribly outnumbered by all the people who find cats icky.
Spaghettios with hotdogs are blasphemy.
I ate all the bananas.
I want a wee pink/purple plaid cow, too.
There. I think I'm caught up now. ;D
Nicholee is not fond of cats. I'm the only one who finds them icky. If you knew about the first nine years of my life, you would understand.
fanofangel 02-22-2005, 11:43 PM theG - I was honestly trying to take some of the burden off of you and help with your dinner, my apologies. Please tell me what you would like to eat and I will go pick it up personally just for you, anything you want. How can I soothe your nerves?
Cheshyre 02-22-2005, 11:46 PM I take it you had some not so happy incidents with cats, then, Boss.
I've always had cats. I come from cat people. I've got one, my dad has two, and my mom has eight.
Needless to say, my mom's a bit off-kilter, but that's a whole 'nother story for a whole 'nother day.
fanofangel 02-22-2005, 11:58 PM Boss - I'm getting off work now and have to change computers. Will log back on in an hour or so. Please decide what you would like or I could cook you something.
Fan out
Spaghettios, if you please!
My mother is also a bit off-kilter, Mouth-Breather.
XxNicholeexX 02-23-2005, 12:09 AM This is soooo off topic but I really need advice.
Next year I have to take P.E. all year long, but I have the option of taking it during the summer in summer school.* My brother's girlfriend tells me that it's 3 1/2 weeks long and 3-4 hours a day.* If I take it during the summer there is the whole heat thing, but I would get another elective next year.* What do you think I should do?
This is even more stressful than finding out that almost all of my classes next year are honors classes!
Cheshyre 02-23-2005, 12:14 AM If you can handle PE 3-4 hours a day, go for it. As I am lazy and actually slept in my PE class when I was in high school, I'd just take it during the year.
Of course, in my state PE is required all four years with no option for summer school outs, so this is all a foreign concept to me.
I have to take P.E. for three semesters out of every year in high school, the other semester is health. As I am also lazy, I play the cheerleader and give people stickers and sing the self-esteem song from "Smile Time".
Cheshyre 02-23-2005, 12:39 AM Boss...we only had to take health one semester our sophomore year instead of an actual PE class when I was in school. Our teacher showed us pictures of STDs. Good times.
Don't have sex 'cause then you'll get pregnant and you'll die!
Don't have sex or touch each other 'cause then you'll get STDs and you'll die! First thing we're going to talk about is chlamydia.
*writes on the blackboard* KLI
Well, it doesn't matter how you spell it. Just don't have sex, okay?
Cheshyre 02-23-2005, 12:47 AM So noted.
Of course, in my class they also showed us how to use birth control. The diaphram lesson was particularly fun.
withay 02-23-2005, 12:57 AM Okay, again off topic and I'm going to put on my *"older and wiser" hat, but, I think you should take as much PE as you are able to. *I also have on my "do as I say, not as I did" jacket....
The fact of the matter is that the more excercise you get, the better off you will be health-wise.
And it's something that is easier on you and better for you if done for a shorter time but daily rather than a lot for a few months and then none for a while. It will also help keep your energy up for those honors courses (congrats on those, I am proud of you).
By the way, my mother is off kilter also, though I do not think she ever married an Italian *;).
I missed the spaghetti, if there is any left, can I take some for lunch tomorrow?
I really like cats, i had one for 17.5 years but I am mucho allergic so I cannot have another. I now have 3 fish and 2 dogs. Lucy is a LabDalmation mix, black with white with black dots on her chest and toes. She weighs about 75 pounds but still thinks she is little; she allows my mother's chihuahua to chase her! Lucky is a beagle/hound mix. He and his littermates were abandoned by the side of the road in the country. My brother in law brought him home for my niece but she lost interest. For a while my sister and her family were sharing a house with me while theirs was being built. When they left, Lucky stayed with me. They are both very lucky. I have double fenced lot and they have the run of the house with furniture privileges. But they also are very well behaved. No "accidents" ,they don't tear up stuff, and thy are the best burgler alarms there are.
TRoss 02-23-2005, 01:06 AM As I am lazy and actually slept in my PE class . . .
That is why we love cats, yes? ;) *yawns and stretches* Oops . . .is the boss here? :o
Cheshyre 02-23-2005, 01:13 AM Very much so, TRoss. Cats have the good life. *stretches* ;D
fanofangel 02-23-2005, 01:27 AM **pulls up in big truck loaded with Spagettios for the boss**
Sorry it took me so long boss, hubby was under foot.
I'm taking notes getting caught up with what I missed.
**takes out pad and pen**
No Sex
No Touching
Use birth control
**Got it**
Well, if everybody is happy I'm gonna go watch American Idol and Veronica Mars.
Goodnite fellow co-workers, its been lovely.

I'm only required to take P.E. one year in high school, and as far as I know we can only take it one year, but I don't know for sure about that. *shrugs* * Oh and thanks about the honors class thing.
I have to take health next year for one semester.
I remember in 7th grade in health when the teacher was going on about STDs, my friend Blake kept saying "Bump, sick, die". *Then when I had PE that year my cousin was a bad influence on me and we never ran...
Tarrish 02-23-2005, 05:12 AM I remember P.E. I remember those fun times behind the gym. Oh high school. hehe
If you like to run and such go for some P.E. time. I wasn't big on P.E., but I played a mad game of tennis. *pulls out a racket and runs around* Oops...I'm running.
uk_girl 02-23-2005, 05:31 AM PE, yuck. Hated it at school...all that cross country running in the freezing cold wearing tiny little skirts and t shirts. Purple mottled legs became the fashion accessory to have!
I quite liked Hockey though - vicious game, loved it!
Got hit in the eye with a rounders (like baseball but on a smaller pitch) ball once too, damn that hurt like hell.
Look what I found, this might make one cow, they do state they are selling the matxhing scarf too, so we may be able to squeeze a couple of cows out of the two of them. I need my own pink/purple plaid victim cow too ;D Finance person?

Tarrish 02-23-2005, 06:00 AM I saw the fabric UK, and it was amazing. The purples the pinks, the way it can inter-change to either color. Amazing. I say it's in. I'm waiting on the money man/woman to give it the thumbs up.
TRoss 02-23-2005, 04:39 PM That is an excellent cap. A shame to cut it up, but the cows are a necessity. Does anyone have an exact dimension for the cows so that I can write a feasability report on purchasing the cap?
And, uh, . . . one other question . . . where is our budget coming from? Perhaps some sponsors such as, oh Oceanic Airlines, perhaps? I did have a line on Duckett's Shimp Truck, but apparently there was an unfortunate event . . .

theG.....where are you? We need money honey, such a fine cap with the possibility of also purchasing the matching scarf would be a sin to miss!
What. The. Bananas.
Are you all incompetent? There has to be some way to raise money. TRoss, do you have any suggestions?
XxNicholeexX 02-23-2005, 06:44 PM Even though I'm not TRoss I have a suggestio. Two words: Bake Sale.
Nicholee, you're a little genuis. Get to work on those baked goods, people! *points* >:(
XxNicholeexX 02-23-2005, 06:49 PM I know. :) I'm also incredibly good at baking things, people who don't even like cookies or cake LOVE the cookies and cakes I bake. :)
You're also incredibly humble ;)
uk_girl 02-23-2005, 06:56 PM Ummm boss, do cakes that we buy at the shop count? My baking talents are limited to cornflake crispies :-\
Just be sure to take them out of the wrapper.
uk_girl 02-23-2005, 07:00 PM Oh of course, and to be sure of making a profit, I may send my son to liberate them from the shop ;D
XxNicholeexX 02-23-2005, 07:01 PM You're also incredibly humble* ;)
:)
I only brag about my baking and cooking skills though.
I do believe my employees are the loveliest of employees...when they're lovely...
And don't sass me, Nicholee! I will have none of that!
;)
uk_girl 02-23-2005, 08:21 PM Ok, so far I have one large cherry cake, and 4 chocolate muffins - stupid child, I told him to get blueberry...Gah, kids these days, can't even shoplift right!
I hope you "What. The. Bananas."ed him for me. You know how I feel about people who are incompetent.
uk_girl 02-23-2005, 08:28 PM I hope you "What. The. Bananas."ed him for me. You know how I feel about people who are incompetent.
I did.
I told him his incompetence was simply not acceptable. He cried....and promised to do better tomorrow.
Damn straight! He had better do better tomorrow! We need sufficient funds for the Project.
diabolo237 02-23-2005, 08:37 PM Hey G,
I started the link, what's my job title??
What do you feel you can contribute to the project? We have quite a few jobs open. Head of Fund Raising, for an example.
diabolo237 02-23-2005, 08:43 PM Oh yeah, I like that one.
Diabolo.......head of fundraising for the six week project....I'm gonna go change my stats right now!!!
Nice to have you on the team, diabolo. I hope you don't prove to be incompetent.
diabolo237 02-23-2005, 10:03 PM Dont worry, we will have lots of money in the treasury real soon!
TRoss 02-24-2005, 01:53 AM Are you sure we can trust a guy named diabolo with our funds, boss?*
*
*looks around warily for pointed pitchfork*
I've got my eyes on you, diabolo.
*motions 2 fingers from her eyes to his in manner of Robert DeNiro in Meet the Fockers*
PS.* I say we sell bananas.
withay 02-24-2005, 04:45 AM Since this hat was made in their shop, maybe instead of cutting it up, we could find the fabric ourselves? For $9.99 plus shipping, we could probably get a whole yard of it which would make several pink/purple plaid cows...... I shall search!
uk_girl 02-24-2005, 04:54 AM ok, but make sure you look for the soft fluffy stuff like this one. I always prefer, given the choice, to have my victim cows made in a soft fluffy (but machine washable) fabric. ;D

What. The. Bananas. TRoss.
We are not selling bananas unless diabolo feels we can make a good profit out of it.
diabolo, if you can get people to sell you their soul, do it.* We need all the money we can get.
diabolo237 02-24-2005, 11:21 AM I,m on it, boss! :D
uk_girl 02-24-2005, 12:37 PM Ummm, quick question. What will we do with all the souls? How are they gonna make us money? ??? Perhaps Diabolo could just steal them and hold them for ransom!
diabolo237 02-24-2005, 12:40 PM Anyone interested in selling your soul, click the link below.
http://www.thefuselage.com/threaded/index.php?topic=8090.0
:lol2:* diabolo, you are quite the competent employee.* I may have to give you a raise.
We'll probably just steal the souls for ransom if we don't do enough soul-selling.
On a lighter note, I just bought ten cans of Spaghettios.* Life is good sometimes.
diabolo237 02-24-2005, 01:30 PM No one wants to sell me their soul......hrmph! How bout just loaning it to me for a while until I hook some real suckers?
uk_girl 02-24-2005, 03:54 PM Ok, I have done my bit to try to drum up business for you on the souls thread. Please note that I wasn't really selling my soul to you, just trying to hook some other suckers ummm, clients......and what's this about Lost T Shirts???
I think diabolo was lying about the t-shirt thing, which I applaud. We do anything for the sake of this project. Screw morals and values!
Cheshyre 02-24-2005, 03:59 PM I would just like to remind everyone that we're getting closer to the beginning of the six weeks. It's time to start getting everything lined out so we'll be ready to go.
No pressure, though. It's not time to start panicking yet. I'll let you know when it is. *;D
XxNicholeexX 02-24-2005, 08:03 PM Don't buy souls, we'll lose too much money. What if some how someone does sell us their soul, but then we try and sell it and no one buys it?
So now we can only post every 180 seconds? :(
TRoss 02-24-2005, 08:05 PM diabolo, perhaps you could convince people you'd be using their souls as extras on the Lost set for the Whispers scenes. *Everybody wants their 15 minutes of fame. *::)
And in case that doesn't work, let me just leave you with this idea - everybody loves a good banana.
uk_girl 02-25-2005, 04:25 AM diabolo, perhaps you could convince people you'd be using their souls as extras on the Lost set for the Whispers scenes. Everybody wants their 15 minutes of fame. ::)
And in case that doesn't work, let me just leave you with this idea - everybody loves a good banana.
Ooh, I like that idea! We could approach the powers that be within Lost, and offer them our 'lost souls' for rental. I'm sure they would be invaluable during the 'whisper' scenes. Or maybe John Locke might be interested in purchasing them. For what, I have no idea, but he does have his own agenda, and said agenda might have a use for 'lost souls' Anyway, we buy them from people for the low low price of one (reasonable) wish, and then rent them out at a proportionate scale to what the 'others' are being paid on the show, and Bob's your uncle & Fanny's your aunt! If that fails, the banana thing has gotta be worth a try. I still have cakes that my son 'liberated' from the shop for us though, except that there are only 3 chocolate muffins now :whistling2: ok....so I was hungry...
withay 02-25-2005, 04:56 AM I'm back!!!!!!!
I have been all over the world (the internet world, that is) looking for pink and purple plaid fabric, preferably fleece. And I have found ....(drum roll, please) NOTHING suitable. The print that Uk girl found was a very attractive plaid with the perfect blend of colors. Everything I have seen has been quite unattractive. First off, it usually has other colors mixed in.
The only idea I have is if our fearless leader could have one of her administrative assistants to contact that ebay seller to see if we can find out where the fabric was purchased. Any other ideas??
diabolo237 02-25-2005, 10:45 AM diabolo, perhaps you could convince people you'd be using their souls as extras on the Lost set for the Whispers scenes. *Everybody wants their 15 minutes of fame. *::)

Now theres an angle I can work! thanks TRoss
diabolo237 02-25-2005, 10:47 AM Uh oh, somebody stole my thread about buying souls. I hope the powers that be arent angry with me
uk_girl 02-25-2005, 11:55 AM :fear: Oh no!
diabolo237 02-25-2005, 12:00 PM Actually it was moved to Chit Chat-----the nerve of some people!!!!
uk_girl 02-25-2005, 12:03 PM Well......the buying of souls seems to be a bit of a lost cause, so what's your next move, oh head fundraiser? ;D
diabolo237 02-25-2005, 01:02 PM Maybe I'll try selling a "Girls of the Fuselage" Calendar. Any volunteers?
diabolo237 02-25-2005, 01:12 PM Alright, heres a new poll to try to drum up business. TheG, I am hard at work trying, please dont fire me.

:-* for diabolo. You are a diligent worker. I value your hard work and effort.
XxNicholeexX 02-25-2005, 06:34 PM What about my bake sale? I made all these cakes, brownies, cookies, and muffins.
uk_girl 02-25-2005, 06:59 PM What about my bake sale? I made all these cakes, brownies, cookies, and muffins.
....and I still have a cherry cake...............and 2 chocolate muffins :whistling2:
TRoss 02-25-2005, 07:27 PM I will definitely purchase the first brownie. ;D How much?
TRoss 02-28-2005, 01:57 AM *crickets chirping*
Hello?* *Anybody here?* I'm tryin' to pay for this brownie.
Man, if I'm the only one working . . . this is so unfair!
Scott and Steve have more people working right now!
. . . *mumbles under her breath*. . . bananas . . .*mumble mumble* . . .souls . . . *mumble mumble** . . . swamp land in Florida . . . *mumble mumble* . . . I'm leaving until everyone else comes back from break !. . .*walks away mumbling under her breath* . . . plaid cow is what I need. . .
Tarrish 02-28-2005, 06:38 AM Sorry I've been gone so long guys. I've been hard at work, and I found a model for our cow mini project.
*drags in a cow* Her name is Bessy, and I have some care takers for her....so no extra budget will be spent on that.
Anything new I should know about? I feel like I'm so far behind.
Did somebody say brownies? I luv me some brownies. :D
diabolo237 02-28-2005, 10:46 AM Ok, here is the new idea for how we can stay occupied for the next six weeks. We are going to have a bachelor/ette auction, someone new every day. We will post their name on a thread and anyone who would like to take part in the auction can visit that thread and put in a bid. The person with the highest bid at days end wins, well, the person they bid on! Its all for fun and it will give us something to do during the hiatus, at least something to log on each day for. I will post the results in a separate thread in case anyone wants a concise view of the tally. Now all I need are some voluteers to be auctioned off. I will go first, so in case there are any shy birds I willl take care of that. Anyone else interested please send me a message (to my mail) and I will give you your auction date and the thread link
Thanks for your help in advance
uk_girl 02-28-2005, 02:00 PM Can I just ask what you would have to do for the person that wins you? :-\
diabolo237 02-28-2005, 02:43 PM Well, since this is for charity and since we arent going to be collecting any real money, I would say, not much. But think of how much fun it would be!!!!!
Unless you could get someone to agree to do something within reason
uk_girl 02-28-2005, 02:47 PM Yup, sounds like a laugh to me. So, do you get to see who you are bidding on as in a photo, or are you bidding blind?
diabolo237 02-28-2005, 03:23 PM I may use my personal website to put up pics of people who want to play, unless there is a way to do it here.
:-* for diabolo for being such a dedicated worker.
uk_girl 02-28-2005, 03:40 PM Can I just say that I would be as diligent a worker as diabolo, however it seems that all my collegues are very well adjusted individuals who have no issues they need to raise with human resources at present. :(
That's okay, uk_girl. I understand. I'm sure there will be some things to deal with if this auction thing is a success.
Cheshyre 02-28-2005, 05:07 PM We've gone from selling bananas to selling ourselves. I like how we're progressing. ;D
withay 02-28-2005, 06:46 PM I'm confused. Are we still creating a monster? Are we still making pink and purple plaid cow muses? Did anyone ever answer me on having an administrative person try to track down the pink and purple plaid fleece?
TRoss, I came by yesterday and lurked for a while but (like you) did not see anyone around so I figured everyone except me was at the Oscars :(
TRoss 03-01-2005, 12:31 AM I suppose the auction will serve as a revolving fund, bringing in monies as people are sold ( :o PC?) and fees collected.*
Tarrish has been fortunate enough to procure a real cow, so perhaps we should spend funds on pink and purple paint, rather than fleece.* Oddly enough, a real cow was easier to find.* Hmm . . .
Since we have a mere 6 weeks to complete our monster, have we hired someone to plan a schedule outlining specific completion dates for the various phases of the project?* And have we outlined the phases?* I need these for my financial projections.
*pauses, comes to realization she has no life . . . hangs head in self-pity*
Tarrish 03-01-2005, 07:15 AM I know people....the cow was not hard to come up with. Thank god for farmers!
So what's going on with this auction? I'm a little confused. If people want to buy me I'm up for raising funds for the monster. *looks around* I'm as good as a brownie.
We don't have an Organizer of the Six Week Project. I suppose Chesyre and I will just have to point and scowl at you all.
Cheshyre 03-01-2005, 05:13 PM *points and scowls*
*scowls and points*
What. The. Bananas.
*points and scowls*
withay 03-02-2005, 01:29 AM Since I'm the Head Seamtress, I'm going to take the liberty of pointing and scowling also. >:( :poking:
TRoss 03-02-2005, 02:28 AM Sorry, withay! Perhaps you could sew the cow a pink and purple plaid jumper instead? She would probably like that better than the paint anyway. ;)
Don't forget, we still need to sew something for the monster, something FRIGHTENING . . . :o
What do you think withay?
diabolo237 03-02-2005, 01:14 PM Here is the link for the Six Week Auction! Let the games begin
http://www.thefuselage.com/threaded/index.php?topic=8538.0
diabolo237 03-02-2005, 05:21 PM Thanks, but I havent gotten one response yet
That's okay. You're trying.
uk_girl 03-03-2005, 01:42 PM Withay - just looky at these wonderful fabrics!
http://home.comcast.net/~littennorsk/05-02Fabrics.html
Some great pink and purple plaids, zebra, tiger, dalmation all kinds! Now we're cooking with gas! ;D
All hail, uk_girl!
Important information, guys!
Today is the first day we must endure during the Six Week Hiatus. I have a plan:
I was thinking, since we all live in different places, that we should all try to make our own monster based off of the designs and whathaveyou in this thread. On the last day of the Hiatus, we should all come here to post pictures of our creations. Like the idea?
Cheshyre 03-03-2005, 06:10 PM I could do that, G.
So what are the final plans for the monster? Is it finalized? Can we incorporate an aspect of "pissed off giraffe" to honor Hurley?
uk_girl 03-03-2005, 06:12 PM :o Are you serious??? *I thought Withay was head seamstress, and now you go and move the goal posts and tell me that we all have to make our own! *I have no shoulderpads for scales, I have no anything......... :'( *My poor monster will be made of building supplies and wood as they are the only things I can acquire easily - how bloody scary is a pile of bricks and some cement?
........but having said that, I am totally into trying, and I can't wait to get started on my purple and pink plaid victim cow *;)
Cheshyre 03-03-2005, 06:16 PM uk_girl...with your building supplies, you could totally make a mecha version of the monster. Ya know...like MechaGodzilla. ;D
uk_girl 03-03-2005, 06:19 PM ...or even better....mecha Barbra Streisand! ;)
Pissed off giraffe sounds great to me.* I think we should add little touches for every character.* Ugly purple shoes for Shannon, the giraffe for Hurley, a boar for Sawyer, a bruise for Boone, and so on.
Cheshyre 03-04-2005, 01:08 AM How many of us are there involved in this project? Perhaps we could divide up the lostaways for monster incorporation.
Good idea, Mouth-Breather.* Let's discuss.
There are ten of us.* First, we can all chose a lostaway, and then we can decide who wants the left over characters.
I would like Shannon.
Cheshyre 03-04-2005, 11:54 AM I'd like to call dibs on Hurley. ;D
TRoss 03-04-2005, 11:55 AM I'll take Sawyer (if that wasn't obvious already). *;)
*picks up encyclopedia, searches for information on boars . . .*
hippiejewel 03-04-2005, 12:13 PM I'll buy that for a dollar....LOL I forget what movie that's from..LOL I think it's the running man. I could be wrong...
Jewel ;D
withay 03-05-2005, 02:23 AM Great find on that material, UK girl. Did you realize it is the same as the hat and scarf you found before? And just when it looks like we won't need it....
I'll take Locke.
Tarrish 03-05-2005, 07:53 PM Our own monster huh? I could come up with my own monsters, but we should still utilize each other in the creations of things. Team work. ;)
I would like to share Sawyer. 0_0 lol
I will take Kate. :)
TRoss 03-05-2005, 07:56 PM Yes, I think team work would be nice! I know withay knows a thing or two about Sawyer. ;) Would you like to help us out?
Tarrish 03-05-2005, 08:01 PM Seeing as you have the bad boy and I have the bad girl...we should defiantly work together. ;)
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 12:56 AM Hello. Reporting for late duty! I'm going insane without LOST and need to keep my mind busy. I don't have the greatest computer skills, so don't count on me building websites or anything of that nature. I am good at Math and writing though! I have no idea what tha could be used for here, though! Would you assign me for a job, theG?
Historian of the Six Week Project?
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 01:07 AM I'll take it. What does it require? ???
Uhh...you do historian-y things...
I get to yell at you a lot too ;D
Cheshyre 03-06-2005, 01:24 AM peanutbutter...I also will be pointing and scowling at you. ;D
Tarrish 03-06-2005, 03:41 AM I'll just be saying a lot of artistic things and bringing in cows.
I also like to wear funny hats.
You can log that in the history notes you will be taking.
You should try to count how many times I say "What. The. Bananas."
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 02:35 PM Okay theG, that's the first time you said it! I'll be keeping count! And I'm used to scowling so scowl away! :lol2:
What. The. Bananas. pb101.
I order you to find all the times I have said "What. The. Bananas."! >:( *points*
At least in this thread...
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 02:38 PM I'm on it. *runs to calculate how many times theG's said what.the.bananas* *computer blows up*
So far, I've got 1,000,000,000,000,000,003
What. The. Bananas. pb101.
I do NOT tolerate incompetence or flippant behavior! I can fire you! >:( *points* *scowls some more*
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 02:57 PM I'm sorry. But it's a fact. (Are you actually yelling at me? :lol2:)
(No, but I was kind of serious about you counting all the times I go "bananas" on people. If you ever get bored, that job is waiting for you ;) ).
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 03:10 PM (But it's such a good saying that it would be a compliment ;D)
BTW: It's now 1,000,000,000,000,000,004 :lol2:
I have amazing sayings. It could have something to do with the fact that I'm so amazing in every single way imaginable.
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 03:16 PM Like Mary Poppins. That's a weird combonation! Locke and Mary Poppins?* :lol2:
Jary Pockins? (John Locke and Mary Poppins combo?)
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 03:39 PM Yes. I believe I shall have to call you Jary Pockins from now on! :lol2:
DO IT UP, pb! I've got to get you a nickname.
Back OT: I'm going to the craft-y store tonight, guys--going to get started on my monster!
peanutbutter101 03-06-2005, 03:42 PM Can we draw it on a paint program? I'm not a very arts and crafty person.
