In the episode Homecoming I think you can see a submarine in the water.
There is a water scene just before a scene showing Jack and Charlie at the caves at night with torches.

In the water scene you can see something come up and then down like a small submarine.In season 3 we learned the others had a submarine.I think they used it to be able to kill Scott.

Kate said that Scott came in from the ocean which I think means the Others took him and killed him then while Boone,Locke and Sayid were going to find what triggerd the trip wire,the others placed Scott on the beach and were able to leave in thier submarine.

In White Rabbit when we see Joanna drowning it appears that there is something pulling her down.It looks like more than one person.This is in the part after Boone asks Jack if he has gotten her (About the second time Jack looks back to see her struggling.)

Hey I can't find the screencap of the scene are you talking about, well, one that shows the ocean clearly, but I always wondered about that...obviously he didn't come by boat, and they had the beach covered.

I wonder if we will find out the answers to these types of questions?

I agree that they probably used the sub to get to Steve (yes, it was Steve), but I doubt that the figure you saw in the water had anything to do with the submarine. Such things are not included in the episodes. It would've been made clear to the viewers that something moved in the water if something moved in the water. So whatever you saw, it was probably just a strange wave or something.

well i do think that the others came from the water. but i dont remember seeing a submarine and cant find it when i watch homecoming-but ill keep looking.

When Vincent appeared to Boone and he awoke, i thought that was when Scott was killed. But I suppose it could have been during the night...no one would stumble across Scott lying there in the dead of night.

If he killed someone, he killed Steve, since Scott is pretty much still alive.
