I've had this sore idea since the beginning that there's been these minor glitches in the show since the beginning. I saw a couple last night as well. Glitches, as in random freezes, stutters... almost so minor you write them off as bad reception but as I was rewatching S2 working up to the new episodes, I couldn't help but notice them on the DVDs as well.

Could it be that this is a clue to some sort of abnormality or the EMF? Why this would be worked into the actual production, I haven't the faintest but it's strong enough to merit investigation. What's flashback and what's reality? Maybe we have it all backwards.

Hmmm...

Hmmm...

Let me guess . . . you have DirecTV and possibly one of their homegrown DVRs?

Nope. HD cable and I noticed it on the DVDs of S2 as well.

Maybe you have some dust or a scratch on the dvd, dude.

I noticed it as well... twice in the episode. Once when Des was drinking with Charlie and Hurley and when Des was coming out of Widmore's building ripping his tie off.

I had actually noticed a small glitch while watching this episode. But it seemed more like a loading issue than anything else.

I'll have to go back and look for that. Sounds interesting.

IMO its just the DVR or broadcast, because I noticed one last night when charlie and Hurley were walking down the beach, the sound cut out, its happened before also but when I rewind and rewatch, the sound is there. Also it happens on other channels, I never noticed anything on the DVD's

I have noticed it as well, in last nights episode as well as in some of the Season 2 episodes off DVD. I'm not sure if something that small would point to a clue or not.... basically I'm saying that I don't know if I'm on board with Zesbez's theory, but I have noticed those same "glitches" as well..

Maybe everytime there's a glitch, history's being rewritten.

That is certainly an interesting idea, kind of like the explaination of what "deja vu" is in The Matrix movies... but I'm not sure TPTB would re-use an idea like that. I'm not discounting your idea (I have seen these little stops/stutters/jumps myself), but I was just attributing them to scene changes or scene loads. I would find it very odd if TPTB threw something that small into the thick of things that would play a pivotal role in the mythlogy of the show.

I watched it on regular TV with a "rabbit ears" intenna, and I didn't notice a glitch.

Zesbez is taking this too far.

Well, all I have to say is I'm not the only one to notice and you would think with the quality of Lost, this would not be accidental.
