Would like other thoughts on the following things which happened in the latest episode -- your thoughts, please!
1. Desmond and Charlie were in the woods TOGETHER when Desmond got his "vision" of Charlie drowning to save Claire. If he had known this "vision" ahead of this point, he obviously would have stayed near the beach and had Charlie go somewhere else -- instead, Desmond and Charlie are together in the woods when he had this "vision". QUESTION: How would Charlie have been the one saving Claire when he himself admits later they could not have heard her screaming from that far into the woods. It is pretty obvious by Desmond's last-minute anxiety and wonder when he finally runs from the woods, that he got the vision at that moment. For those of you who speak of a time-loop (which may be a possibility), Desmond taking Charlie into the woods would have already changed the situation of Charlie saving Claire, so again, how would he have that vision at that point, when Charlie was already in the woods, too far away to hear Claire's cries. This one is hard to word -- hopefully some of you follow the direction I am taking.
A few additional quick thoughts:
**Claire was fully dressed when Desmond pulled her from the water. If she swam nearly every day, it seems even without having a bathing suit, she would have swam with something a little less than jeans, etc. -- fully clothed. ???
**Even after Desmond resuscitates Claire, he seems insistent that Charlie not be involved at all -- when Charlie was clearly wanting to help at that point, and very concerned with Claire. It seems odd Desmond would not have let him care for her, but instead he protests Charlie's attempts to help, and carries her off himself.
**When Claire speaks to Desmond on the beach to thank him, when Charlie approaches with Aaron and indicates he needs attention, Claire seems very annoyed with either Charlie or possibly Aaron. This is a bit of a difference from her usual attentive mothering.
In summary, it would seem that Desmond is not being totally truthful of his visions and their purpose. I believe there is more to the story than what he is giving -- and obviously, we have a lot to learn, don't get me wrong. I don't need complete answers for everything -- I enjoy the mystery, but these things seems good to point out, and interesting -- would like some thoughts.
