Rewatched the episode the other day, and here's a list of new questions/observations

1. When Sayid is getting hung up in the tree, he gets stabbed by a branch, oddly in the very spot he shoots himself in when Nadia escapes.

2. Does this branch have a hallucinogen on it?? He gets caught up there in daylight, and then wakes up in the dark. Is it normal to pass out from being hung upside down?

3. Danielle never saw the others, only heard them.

4. The voices in the end say to Sayid, "question them". This is his inner demon talking.

I think the others are voices from each persons past, and not physically there at all.

When Sayid was leavnig he said to Kate, someone has to walk the island and map it.

YEs, that is interesting. It still is my contention that Danielle was a hallucination of Sayid. I think he found the ruins of a shelter, and found the maps....but then again, he could have made the maps himself.* He certainly did not want to take Jack to Danielle when asked. Why?

That's the one question I still can't figure out myself. Why didn't Sayid take Jack or anyone else back to Danielle??? Was he thinking she was to crazy and unpredictable and didn't want to put anyone in danger? Scared he wouldn't walk away with his life a second time? The hallucination theory? That question is really bothering me

I bet on hallucinogen, hanging upside long time will only cause you bad headache....

I think I saw him hit his head on a tree as he was yanked upside down.

1. Okay...I think that was just a way to connect the two. but good observation.
2. I don't think a Hallucinogen would make you pass out...hallucinate, yes...but pass out? not sure about that. He DID hit his head and was only barely able to pull the branch out of his leg before he passed out. Definitely a head injury. PLUS it was dark because they were underground.
3. Yep. I remembered that from the first time. Just the "whispers". Sayid and Sawyer have heard the whispers, too, don't forget.
4. Um...I'm not sure about that one. I think they believe they hear things that were significant in their lives and then they have to "overcome" it. Sawyer overcame the "it'll come back around" by making peace with the boar. I don't see how the others aren't physically there...(SPOILER if you haven't seen Exodus coming up) if they said in Exodus that they "wanted the boy"...I don't think that's from Danielle's past. WAY too much of a coincidence, don't you think?

hanging upside down for a long period of time can be lethal... blood gets concentrated to the head...and can form a clot.
