I don't think anyone had planned on Widmore sending Des around the world to land up on the island to get him away from his daughter!! Pretty extreme if you ask me! I like the fact that they don't know everything.

Maybe Mikail has "escape" thoughts just like Kelvin. Just because he likes being alone dosen't mean he wants to stay there.

I don't feel that way, I think they are way different from each other and I didn't get the impression that his interest involved the thoughts of escaping.

Patchy took keen interest in the fact that the losties had a sailboat. it was clearly a momentary diversion that caused him to think, or recalculate. This also corrolates with the others keen desire to capture the vessel when it was in the possesion of the losties. There is something "special" about a sailboat for them, vrs other means of transportation

It's rather amazing how the Others didn't discover it in the 3 years that Kelvin had it sheltered in the cove while he and Desmond were in the hatch. They don't get out much either??

In terms of the Others having learned about it, if Ben only recently learned about it in Glass Ballerina that is, it's entirely possible that Mikhail & Klugh were out of communication with the Hydra people for the few days that had passed since then.

it seemed to me that he was confused on what he wasnt informed on this outcome by the others aka his peers..they got a sailboat and he doesnt know about it???his expression indicated serious surprise and guile
