"The Whole Truth (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/The_Whole_Truth)"

Locke (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Locke) asks Ana-Lucia (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Ana-Lucia) to question Henry Gale (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Ben).
Sun (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Sun) finds out that she is pregnant (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Pregnancies).
Ana-Lucia (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Ana-Lucia), Charlie (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Charlie) and Sayid (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Sayid) set out to investigate Henry Gale's claims
It is Rose's (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Rose%27s) birthday. -From Lostpedia http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Timeline:November_2004

And also according to Lostpedia, today's episode took place on day 80. So she's known she's pregnant for less than a month, even saying that she was a month and a half along when she figured it out, or a full two months if you want to say that she got pregnant before they got to the island (which I doubt, I have a feeling, given conditions, that every woman with a menstrual cycle noticed and cursed their first period on the island) she'd be just less than three months along.

Now, I've never had kids, but as this is Sun's first, and from what I've heard, and from what the glorious Wikipedia has to say (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pregnancy#First_trimester look at the second trimester) she shouldn't be showing yet.

Anybody disagree?

So you're glad that she is not showing?

I know I am. Half the time on TV shows, for whatever reason, women get pregnant and are in the third trimester by the next episode.

You don't start to show until about 4 months, depending on how big a person you are and whether you've had kids before. You pop out earlier if you've had other kids.

But I don't get your point, are you saying that Sun was showing when she shouldn't have been? I didn't notice her showing.

Sun's got such slender hips, like Claire, giving birth might be a problem. Especially with Jack AWOL.

I don't think that she looked like she was showing, however, it wouldn't shock me if she were. She is very thin and she wears very fitted clothing. She is probably anywhere between 8-12 weeks along in her pregnancy. Around 12 weeks is when a lot of women begin to have problems buttoning up their jeans, and while they may not need maternity clothing, they usally need to go up a size in their pants. So, I would expect to see a little baby bump to start showing anytime now. Or at least see her in baggier clothes.

*is slightly confused* I didn't think Sun looked remotely pregnant -- and I've certainly had enough kids to know what pregnant looks like, and Sun wasn't it!

Sorry, to clarify: I've seen a lot of people on the boards saying she should be showing by now, I was reacting to that. I don't think she is, and I don't think she should be.

I misunderstood you, then. Why on earth would anyone think she should be showing? I guess they must be confusing island time with real time, yeah?

Haha- it's been two years and she's still in her first trimester! I don't think any wwoman alive would be willing to spend that long being preganant.

I actually noticed Sun was getting skinnier, like anorexic skinny. Being that skinny, I highly doubt she could have a successful birth. I personally know a very skinny woman who got pregnant. She didn't start showing for quite awhile.
