If Mikhail was not part of dharma, why was he still wearing the uniform? He seems to have been wearing it all along for a long time. Just to fool the losties, or some other people when they would someday wonder into the house? Or is it just so comfortable?

If he knew beforehand they were coming to his house, and changed into the dharma-overalls, how did he know?

we dont know whether he was part of Dharma or not.we actually dont know whats the relation between the others and dharma just yet.

I was thinking about that myself and what I concluded to was that he was in costume. It fooled some of the losties before, so why not try it again. I thought that locke was going to pull off the eye patch and show that he wasn't missing an eye.

The camera starting to work again was an obvious sign for him I'm sure. As to why he would wear the jumpsuit--just part of his gig there I'm sure. Also, perhaps he found them more comfortable than whatever rags he was given.

I think that Desmond was wearing some kind of jumpsuit when he was first discovered in the hatch, but I can't recall what it looked like, exactly. Was Kelvin wearing a jumpsuit?

Well Patchy was in a jumpsuit in the video feed from the Pearl, so he can't have changed into it AFTER that event just to fool the A-team.

Seems more likely to me that they just use the uniforms that are there, just as Desmond did. He was never Dharma, but since he was down there in the hatch for three years, he needed something to wear, and if there are a bunch of Dharma uniforms sitting around, why not use them?

None of the others wear dharma clothes just because they are there.

I think there are only two options:

1) wear them to fool anybody who approaches the house

2) mikhail was part of dharma before, just like inman. He joined the others for reasons we don't know yet, and kept wearing the outfit out of the old habit.

I'd go for option 2.

but HOW do we know the connection between Dharma and The Others?last time i checked we were clueless on the castes and the way things are on the island.what is dharma what is not etc.is really outta the question up to now.:eek2:

Well, I do still think it's possible that he was a Dharma guy who changed sides. It seems to me that the Others might have done the same thing with the Dharma folk as they are now doing with the Losties-- analyzing them to create a list of who is worthy. Perhaps Mikhail was on that list.

I dunno. I still think they were just using the jumpsuits because they were there. I mean, they use Dharma food, Dharma equipment, Dharma facilities... why should the clothes be any different?

Since Ptchy was the one holding down the "Flame" fort for the time being he was in character as a Dharma operative. It's possible Klugh or someone could have relieved him at some point. And obviously the others are aware that their are some medelsome people on the isalnd and to watch out for them. I'm sure everyone is on high alert.

If you have ever worn a set of coverall's or a flight suit before, then you know how comfortable they are. Waking up and "putting on the bag" is a great feeling. You can wear them for days and days and not have to change them. Ask any military Pilot or Submariner about them.

Maybe Klugh was down in the basement because she was getting ready to change into a Dharma uniform :p

you seem to be taking foregranted Dharma and the Others are two separate groups of people....why oh why?

i think that patchy was a part of the others and he was sent to the flame for unknown reasons. also that since he was at the flame for a while and found the big closet of dharma coveralls and decided to wear them (this was a dharma station afterall).
i dont think its that complicated or some easter egg to the show.
simply used as spare clothes, or if needed a cover story for unwanted visitors (ie the losties).
