Yes I was wondering why she didn't ask Locke as well. Has Locke made the connection as to who Alex is?

And Danielle in the woods, I wonder how she is going to initiate contact, she's right Alex will probably freak out the first time they meet, if she doesn't do it perfectly.

I think Alex was more concerned with John understanding that her dad was using him than with asking about something some total stranger said to her about her (supposedly) dead mom, which he was probably saying to rattle her. (Remember: her "dad" is Ben Linus, King of the mind game!)

What I want to know is: is seeing your daughter alive and well ENOUGH for you to stop hiding and "avoiding confrontation," or NOT, Danielle? And while you're at it, could you rescue our captured losties? Hummmm?

Well all her life she thinks her mom is dead. All of a sudden someone (a stranger who is being held against his will) tells her different. I think it would take time to digest.

The look on Rousseau's face was just priceless. A step up from the distantly hopeful look she got in "Maternity Leave" when Claire talked about Alex to her.

Of course it will take time to digest.....
You dont miss what you dont have...it will be an interesting story line to follow

Maybe more hints/info, like what Sayid said, will help her process it for a while before they actually meet.

I was so glad someone finally said something to Alex. It's great to see her questioning things in her head. We know she already doesn't see eye to eye with the Others because of Karl, so it'll be cool to see how she handles this new info. I really like her and Danielle both, and I'm really interested in seeing what happens with them. I thought Danielle's look near the end was just perfect and so sweet.

I'm sure Danielle is currently sitting on a log somewhere crying with relief and contemplating her next move. I wonder if she saw the exchange between Locke & Jack when the sub blew.

With the look on Alex's face when she came back in with Locke's backpack, I thought she was going to question Ben right then and there. I couldn't believe she didn't. And when Locke left Alex outside of the sub, I thought that maybe that Danielle would have approached her while she was alone. I wanted to see that so much. How touching to see Danielle see her daughter for the first time in so many years.

Me too! Speaking of, are we ever going to get a Danielle flashback? It would be a great episode to have her reunite with Alex....

What if Danielle IS really crazy? What if Ben didn't kidnap Alex? What if he thought he was (or really was) saving Alex from a crazy mother who killed all of the rest of her team? What if the Others are really "good" somehow and Alex really is having a better life with them?
I want to root for Alex and Danielle to be together, but at the most, I can root for them to have an awesome reunion but then for major conflict and cool stuff and confusion to continue. :biggrin:

I don't think Alex would want to talk to Ben about her mother. She knows Ben would just lie. I bet she wishes she could talk to Sayid alone for 10 minutes.

I totally agree. I'm not sure if this will be solved this season, but it will be a good one.

Kudos to Sayid for telling Alex about her mother. By the look on her face, she seemed semi-incredulous, yet wanting to believe him.

There was also a hint of "my father would say anything to get people under his control; why would he be any more honest with me about my mother?" in her expression. I tell ya, the girl can act!

Also, I think Alex knew that if she had mentioned it, her father would make her tell him who gave her such information. Then get his posse to beat Sayid up or something. Alex seems to trust the Losties more than her own, so I'm sure she doesn't want any of them hurt.

I would love to see what happened with her crew & Alex being taken (sad but would be very informative). That would be a 2 part flashback!

I think Alex is smart enough & has been wronged by Ben a few times to believe Sayid. She will for sure ask him more questions in the not to distant future. She is headstrong, like her mother.
