Does anybody know if we'll be getting a Ben flashback this season?

I sure hope so. It would be very interesting, since he was born and raised on the island. So his flashbacks would all take place there. I believe a while ago I heard a rumor that there was to be a ben episode this season, but I can't say for sure. I have now given up spoilers, so I am no longer in the loop!!

Might make a great season finale!

A Ben flashback could rule, but could also be very dangrous. Do they try to cover main points from his entire life all in one episode (perhaps possible in a two-parter)? Do they cover some significant part of his life, pre-Losties (e.g. interactions with Jacob or previous island- and hatch-dwellers, taking Alex, recruiting other Others?). Or, do they flashback to Ben's actions post-crash (e.g. why/how he got caught in Danielle's net, what he did during Lockdown, his involvement with the children after they've been taken?).

If done well, it could be relevatory. But if not, it could be an unsatisfying end to what is still a pretty intriguing mystery. (I guess that's the dilemma the show faces as it answers any of its questions!)

Don't think we'll see that any time soon, at least not in detail. After all, if we see what Ben was like pre-Dharma, we'll probably get to know why in the name of all that's good he was born on the island anyway, what his parents were doing there, what happened when Dharma came and so on and so forth. I just ask myself - if we know all of that, what is there left to tell storywise, other than culminating the conflict between the losties and the others and getting them off the island/not getting them off the island?
I think TPTB are careful with revealing too much about the others and their reason and purpose for being on the island because once the story is told, the mysteries will start to unravel for good. And then Lost will soon be over.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind seeing a Ben flashback of some sorts. Maybe of the not-so-distant past.

How come Danielle never recognised Ben if he is Alex's father. Thats always bothered me, is he her real father or a "father" in the cult sense of the word, maybe all the kids on the island have to call him dad?

since we learned that Ben is Alex's "father" I have always thought, like many others too, that Ben took Alex away from Danielle. She thinks Ben is her father because that's what she has been told all of her life.. There is little chance that Danielle and Ben made a baby together!

When did they say this? I'm betting that's a foiler.
There is no way they could get two hours of flashback material out of Jack's backstory and still have something left to say in season 4:mad:.

Any information about any upcoming show is considered a spoiler...even the previews. Many people don't want any knowledge of what is going to happen before they see the first run show.
