I agree with your statement. Its obvious Ben has some use for Jack, being that he is a doctor and the Others seem to be lacking a medical staff. I also feel that Ben is using Jack for something else, it could tie into Christian's body missing from the casket or Ben's love for screwing with peoples minds :biggrin: .

Yes, Ben is manipulating all people at all times. Your guess is as good as mine as to if Juliet is in on it though.


Jack could also be suffering some severe case of Stockholm Syndrome, as explained here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome . (playing ball with Tom, taking care of Juliet, contradicting Sayid, turning his back on Kate, showing signs that he's "understanding" the others...) ? Just a question, you know... When he gets back to the beach camp, he probably will have the feeling that noone will ever know, believe or understand what he had to go through while being captured, except maybe Juliet.

But as long as Juliet believes that Ben is capable of getting her home, my guess is that she will play along with him. The moment she starts thinking someone else (Jack, or Locke, or anyone) can do that better for her, she will change camps.
