They were such a big part of the first and second season, yet there is no mention of them in the 3rd season.:confused:

The numbers played a huge role when the hatch was still a plot line, now that the hatch has been destroyed there is no need for them. There is still an explanation needed as to what exactly the numbers importance is, which if I had to bet would be explained by Ben if/when he reveals the island's secrets to Locke.

Don't worry, the first half of the finale is numbers-centric.
The second half is Vincent-centric.

sometimes they let stories sit for a while before bringing it up again. Look at the smoke monster, we see it and then we don't see it for the longest time and nobody talks about it at length. The numbers will come up again this season I'm guessing.

Well, many people that win the lottery end up worse off in life. I don't really think this a major plot device. We know what the numbers mean, how he got them, and I just consider it coincidence that he won the lottery with them.
