Ok so I thought something was a little off last night with the timeline that currently exists involving Paulo hiding the diamonds in the Pearl, the Beechcraft, and Boone and Locke.

So we know from last nights episode, Expose, that Paulo hid the diamonds in the Pearl 32 days ago. This places it at about 49 days after the crash. Now based off work done by others and the Lostpedia, this means that he hid the diamonds the same day Kate saw her horse in the jungle and kissed Jack. The episode was called "What Kate Did" and was episode 9 of Season 2.

Now when Paulo went down into the Pearl station, we overhear Ben say "Have Tom cover it (the hatch door) with the plane (the beechcraft). Meaning that the plane was still up on its perch on the cliff above the Pearl entrance.

Now based off Season 1 timelines we know that Boone died in episode 20 of Season 1, "Do No Harm". This means that the plane fell in episode 19 of Season 1, "Deus Ex Machina".

So how did the plane get back on the cliff when Paulo stashed the diamonds in the Pearl station on Day 49?

Some people are saying that the plane had already fallen and Tom moved it over the hatch. It didn't fall directly on the hatch in other words. There's more about this in the "What was the mythological question answered?" thread:smile:

Yes, I got the impression that the plane had already fallen, but not on top of the hatch. Tom moved it over the hatch door, and that where it was when Locke and Eko found it.

Oh I guess I could see how that would happen. I guess it's wishful thinking because I just pictured Tom pushing the plane off the cliff with Boone in it.

If this is the case why didn't Locke notice that the plane wasn't upright any longer and was instead moved 20-30 feet and on it's top?
