Suppose Danielle is one of the Others
Think about it. Henry did not just get caught up in her net. The Others have had no problem being "found" when they want to be found. How coulod she have not tangled with them more often. And how is that the medical hatch was abandoned when she took Claire there. I also get the sense that there is more to Alex than meets the eye.
In light of her strange goings on once she got to the Others colony, I am fairly certain she is one of them. I think she just stayed with L, K & S to ensure they got there and then off she went.
If nothing else she has to have had a relationship with Ben. Think about it, if he really wanted to get out of the net in Season Two, all he had to do was offer to reunite Danielle with her daughter.
He clearly arranged for her to catch him.
