Ugh. Jack giving orders to Sayid? I can't say I like Jack at all right now. It's like he doesn't want to know anything about what's going on. Anyway, I'm definitely rooting for Sayid.. he shouldn't take that from Jack.

what did jack say to sayid?

Sayid was trying to question Juliet, and Jack basically forbade him from doing so, saying Juliet was under his protection. And the way he said it was basically like "and you better not challenge me on this or else".

It looks like Claire is getting sick. Could this be the sickness that has been alluded to, or something to do with the injections when she was kidnapped?

so what's happening now? anyone?

So.. woman on the island can get pregnant, their bodies just see the fetus as foriegn and they seem to have some sort of autoimmune reaction that always kills the woman. Juliet says that Ethan was actually giving (Juliet-developed) injections to Claire to prevent this and save Claire, but now she's having a delayed reaction which looks like a hemmorhagic fever and could die if Juliet doesn't get more of the drug.

Also, Ben tells Juliet that he can cure her sister's recurrent cancer, and that no one on the island has ever had cancer before. He seems to be the first.

Beautiful Canada. When I was a girl my family would sometimes visit relatives in Ontario. I remember the air smelling so different and clean. The people were so nice. I wish I was there now, watching Lost with you guys. However, since I am not, can someone update us a bit?

I wonder where all the other Canadians are? Anyway, GREAT ending scene. The entire episode almost makes you believe that Juliet really is on the Losties side- but as it turns out ... and don't read on if you don't want to spoil the ending..


Ben and Juliet planned her being "left behind," she IS there for some purpose, there was some sort of 'chip' inside of Claire that they activated to cause her illness, to give Juliet the chance to look like a hero, and Ben says to her 'see you in a week." Jack is such a hopeless dope... man... lovestruck and BLIND. I laughed at his puppy-love smile to Juliet at the end.

Also, Mikhail was the one getting the info from the outside world, through the station John blew up (I forget what it was called!) And the others may have actually cured Juliet's sister without her going to the island. Ben told Juliet that Jacob had arranged it.

EDIT- sorry for the massive run-on-sentence! I was trying to get everything down way too fast.

I never bought Juliet's act, so I wasn't too surprised at the end to see the 'setup' with her and Ben, although I'm still curious to know what they want exactly.

I'm disappointed in Sawyer and Sayid for being so quickly undermined by Juliet's "I know all about your lives" spiel... I hope they stay suspicious. And I definitely don't like the fact that Hurley immediately gave away the fact that Charlie was the one to kill Ethan.

Overall, I thought this was a great episode - but I still hate Juliet!

That kind of bugged me, but I bought it because they knew Claire was very sick. Hopefully they try again next episode, and hopefully Sayid will see through her deceptions. Jack certainly doesn't. :rolleyes:

I definitely don't like the fact that Hurley immediately gave away the fact that Charlie was the one to kill Ethan.

I'm guessing there will definitely be some consequences for that one now. Big mistake.

OR- maybe Juliet is playing Ben, and she really is on the Lostie's side. Its really hard to tell at this point.

****SPOILERS!!!!****




Walking back to the campJac,Kate Sayid and Juliet stop to set camp. While jack and kate go get fire wood, Sayid takes tis chance to ask Juliet who she is and what the other are doing.

FB: Juliet gets dropped off by her sister before going for 3 months to an unknown location. The person who greeted proceeds to give her an orange juice spiked with some stuff to drug for the trip. After some though she decides to drink it.

Baby crying! Charlie proceeds to take care of him, while an ill Claire keeps on resting. A while later a still clearly uncomfortable Claire needs some Aspirin. Sawyer,with his new personality, decides to go get some. Before he can reach his tent he sees a familiar face! Jack is back. Everybody meets and greets until Sawyer spots another familiar, one he likes less! Cue Juliet.What is she doing here?

FB:3 months later Juliet still can't get women to survive a pregnancy on the island. She thinks it might have to do with where the conception takes place and suggests to Ben that he should take an islander to Miami, which Ben doesn't allow. Juliet says that short of that, there is nothing more she can do and it's time she goes back home. Ben, manipulative as always, reveals that her sister has cancer and if she stays, Jacob will cure her.

Claire gets worse while everyone discusses what to do about Juliet. Juliet recognizes the symptoms as effects of her previous work on Claire and asks Kate to get Jack so she can explain whats happening. She proceeds to reveal that Claire was supposed to be the control, as in a women that conceived off the island. Problem is, Hurley discovered that Ethan was an other, so he had to improvise and kidnap Claire. The illness Claire is suffering is withdrawal from the drug injected in her to keep her alive during the pregnancy. Jack sends her to go get more of the drug thing Claire got injected with, from Ethan's secret stash.

FB: Juliet is sleeping with Goodwin, when there is aknock on the door.Someone delivers X-rays in which Juliet sees that Ben is not suffering from a hernia as she previously though but actually a tumor. She confronts Ben saying that he promised that he would cure his sister's cancer and if he could cure cancer, he wouldn't be sick. He calls him a liar. This is the day before the first scene of the season where she is clearly stressed during the "downtown song". After the plane crashes and Ben sends Ethan and Goodwin, Ben takes Juliet to Mikhail where Juliet actually sees something that makes her emotional. Juliet's sister and nephew!!! Ben didn't lie.

Juliet cures Claire and everyone now trusts her!!!

last FB: Juliet repeating a plan to ben: I drag Austen to the jungle handcuff myself to her. Afterwhich I will go their camp at which point the device planted in Claire will activate and make her sick. I take care of the crisis and voila! Ben agrees and tells her....." I'll see you in one week".

Juliet arrived on the submarine, and we see her in the operating room where a pregnant woman has just died. She tells Ben she thinks the problem is at conception, and that she can't do anything and wants to go home, but Ben won't let her until she has completed her work. Ben shows her info (obtained by Mikhail) that shows the return of her sister Rachel's cancer, and Ben promises that Jacob will have her cured. She has a relationship with another one of the Others, (Goodwin maybe? I can't remember his name for certain.) Ben gets his cancer, and Juliet again asks to go home, still not believing Ben when he says that Rachel is alive. On the day of the plane crash Ben shows her a live video of Rachel indeed alive and with her son. Then the last scene is her with Ben before the Other's departure.
