Kate731 05-02-2007, 09:43 PM Well, a brig is a term for a sort of prison or hold for prisoners, often on a ship. (Its been a while since Star Trek was on, but didn't they refer to their prison as the brig? Maybe I'm just making things up, but for some reason "brig" brings the star trek prison to mind.) I think it also may refer to a certain kind of ship itself? I'm pretty sure D.O.C. from last week was definitely "date of conception." caforrest2047 05-02-2007, 09:49 PM A prison on a ship of anykind boat or starship it's where they send unruly crewmen and prisoners, or in this case hostages. DOC=Date of conception, I thought both of these were pretty self explanatory during the episodes, Juliet tells sun what doc mean and locke tells sawyer that "ben" is in the brig, where sawyer finds cooper tied up and gagged. LostLaura 05-03-2007, 12:07 AM I felt neutral about this episode. I didn't find anything very surprising, but there were elements that I really liked. I dunno. It was good. I just hope the next 3 episodes are much better. LostInJack 05-03-2007, 12:52 PM I felt neutral about this episode. I think the hype around the ep's doesn't help, or maybe I just expect too much ! But it was a good ep and I did enjoy it better than DOC. MTPockets 05-03-2007, 02:18 PM A brig is a Navy term for prison, whether onboard ship or ashore. juvi1624 05-03-2007, 07:44 PM yeah, nothing overly shocking this week. i think everyone saw the locke's dad/sawyer connection coming for some time so that didnt surprise us, we still dont know what locke is up to, but it did set up for a big confrontation next week. i hope some one slaps the holy crap out of kate and sawyer needs to beat jack to a near death state. BoogaFrito 05-03-2007, 08:37 PM I'm just glad they got the whole thing over with in one episode. At the rate they had been going, it would have taken the entire episode just to get to the Black Rock... Tom_Zarek 05-05-2007, 06:01 PM It wasn't one of their best but it's nice to see the story starting to move again. They did that last season too. From about the halfway mark to the 3/4 mark very little happened in terms of story progression. Gordon Bennett 05-09-2007, 07:21 PM yeah, nothing overly shocking this week. i think everyone saw the locke's dad/sawyer connection coming for some time so that didnt surprise us, we still dont know what locke is up to, but it did set up for a big confrontation next week. i hope some one slaps the holy crap out of kate and sawyer needs to beat jack to a near death state. I felt a bit cheated. I liked the confrontation between Sawyer and Cooper (even though it made sod all sense the way Locke engineered it). But I just don't get the feeling that Sawyer would be satisfied with it. It tied in really nicely with Sawyer's internal conflict before & after killing Frank Duckett, but it lacked a feeling of closure regarding a major aspect of Sawyer's character. Maybe that's just me, maybe I need someone to explain it in words of one syllable, pictures, or act it out with hand puppets. But I just didn't get the impression of Sawyer drawing a line under one part of his life and moving on to the next. It played out more like the core of Sawyer's life was just a minor aspect of Locke's. Anyone? care_n_jim 05-09-2007, 09:24 PM I was more upset at how Locke used the connection with his father to Sawyer to manipulate just like Ben would do. I needed more information - what was at the end of the letter - I understand that the story needs to be played out over time but I felt cheated in the way Sawyer killed the real Sawyer and that he believed he was in hell - After all the posts that this is not pergatory or hell to have that said was confusing for me. I also saw the Kate running to Jack thing coming and that is something that has been happening lately - being able to call it before it happens - we used to get shocked more often - I wouldn't say I didn't dislike or I did love it - I wasn't moved like other episodes but I enjoyed it and I am always coming back for more ;) |
