I don't know, but ever since I saw Kate's home problems, I couldn't help it anymore, I knew that I was falling for Kate (yes she's a character but she is so complex.)

Yet, she wants to redeem herself and I believe that is possible.

I am a Kate fan. Absolutely. Always have been. Always will be.

She started out as the most fascinating character on the show. Though she's fallen a few spots, I still dig her character!

Totally unrelated 'catch' ...I rewatched 'Left Behind' and noticed that when Diane goes into the restroom after Cassidy spills chili on her...she looks in the mirror and has a wedding ring on.

Think it's still Wayne's (its supposed to be a few months afterwards) or that she's already hooked up with someone else?

I hope in Season 4 we get more of Season 1 Kate, and not what she became in Season 3. And I hope we get to find out why she acted so refined, timid and scared in the FF - THAT was defnitely NOT Kate. I think she will be a big part of Season 4 and I can't wait to see her come back around to kick-butt Kate!!

Kate is one craxy chick and I think she's pretty awesome. I do get frustrated with her at times when she's not being the tough, independent yet compassionate and brave person we saw in season one. I like her vulnerability when it's tempered by her wildness of spirit. I love the light and dark sides of her, the contradictions. She's both angel and devil all in one very attractive package.

I hated parts of season 2 and the latter part of season 3 when I felt she'd lost her way and allowed other people's view of her and desire for approval and acceptance to adversely affect her self esteem. Hopefully she will get her groove back and once again be the kick butt gal we know she's capable of being. I loved her journey in the mini arc where she finally learned not to run and fought for Sawyer's life and freedom, how determined and passionate she was, and how she let her emotional barriers down with Sawyer when things looked especially dire. I also loved how she was determined to go back and save Jack since she owed him. Her bravery and caring for the rest of the Losties really shone through this season.

I agree. If you can say anything about Kate, she's loyal. She's also one of the few characters that has a good relationship with every single Lostie. She's always there to support them, nurse them, fight for them, etc. Very inspiring. I think this is the only real family she's ever had.

Oh she has had her selfish moments (mostly due to her fugitive status), but deep down I do think she's a very caring person.

Kate's awesome! She does have her moments, but she's very loyal and cares about everyone. I liked her from the start of episode one, and have kept liking her all along! And we have the same name, so that's cool. :)

I agree completely. Kate is by far, the best female character I've ever seen on a show, ever. I'm happy to say her and I are alike in a lot of ways, and I aspire to make this continue.

Yeah, she's gorgeous. And - she looks fantastic when she has a bit of makeup on, I loved the court scenes, such a change. WOW.
But muddy Kate manages to look great aswell. :)

As someone said on the other thread, without Kate's story, there will be a hole on Lost. Every character contributes to the greatness of the storyline, and without one, everything will be awry. Especially the 815ers & season 1 characters. If Kate or the triangle they so much hate is gone, do you think that will attract more viewers? I highly doubt it.
